I go to the website and it says it's free now but when I click the banner to sign up it takes me back to the main page..
Did the game shut down or something? I seethe company also changed their name..

The North American version of RYL2 (ie. Path of the emperor) has been shutdown. It became free then not to long after, the site and servers were taken down.
The Mylasian version of the games are still running fine. RYL2 : Imcomplete Union is F2P. You can go to www.ryl2.com.my
As for any other version... I don't follow/play them so I would be able to help you with thoses.

The MY version of RYL1 is also free. Here is canada tho i find they lagg badly all the time. On the other hand tho risk your life unforgiving dont have the lagg least for me. It also has alot less prayers atm then the MY versions, if im not mistaking this version just came out. You can create a account for unforgiving wars here https://account.tni.pf/. Hope this helps
ps there is also pirate servers like risk your life underground that dont have the lagg and more players then unforgiving wars. well at least ryl1 does
