If and when this becomes a reality, I'm going to have to hire somebody to remind me to eat. The universe is perfect for a MMORPG. Complete Open endedness. Hell, I even wrote up a couple of features I thought the game should have a while back, and implementation. I think it would actually be pretty hard to screw this one up. I won't put it past them, but I'm pretty hopeful at the moment. The main question will be, when it comes out, Stargate or Firefly?
hell, I wish It was better then Second Life, where you do not need to pay real money to get the game money, and be able to make your own things as well just like Second Life, the game engine is much more better then Second Life which is great!
Firefly just fits perfect in the mmo universe!!!! Great news indeed, Lets hope that they get it right. It can be a mix of old swg + Eve + UO + Something that has never been done.
I actually have hard time believing they are making a MMO based on one of the crappiest tv shows ever. Oh dear, I so hope this will crash and burn as it rightfully deserve it. This was so bad, bad actors, bas stories, crappy characters, ridiculous world. No wonder they got rid of it quickly. The worse is that in order to put that tv show on tv they cancelled a real good tv show that was packed with potentials and already had many fans: James Cameron's post-apocalyptic tv show Dark Angel. Firefly can go to Hell and that MMO too.

Thank you. Knowing that Firefly got rid of a show you liked makes me all warm and fuzzy.
Didn't much like the series. When it was on I just thought of it as something to watch while I was waiting for SG1 to come on. Hopefully the MMO is a lot better.
Not really looking forward to it but if they do a free trial or an open beta I will check it out.

Firefly the TV show was great. The movie was great. Maybe the game will be at least good. I thought Dark Angel was pretty great too. But then I love Jessica Alba so how could I not?
Seems like a half-interesting show. I wouldn't watch it though. Looks like it'll make a pathetic MMO. The envirments don't seem inventive enough. I'd rather someone make an actually Western MMO. Personally, no Sci-Fi will ever beat Doctor Who in my eyes.
