lot of ways u can make money and money fast to some degree. best way and sometimes the most fun way, is to go for rats (PVE ships that u can fight, and kill around asteroid belts and other areas.) or do missions. to push up your security rating for certain corps to help give u access to areas and what not. also a good way to make money fast but it takes a while to make really good money and can be boring is mining. its kinda expotential in its increase. can make a could hundred thousands iSk and get into the single digit millions to 10's of millions of isk per cargo container.

What i did (and this is my way of course u could do different) is i went as much as I can with hauling/mining yeah it can be boring but it can be very lucrative, and every corp needs a dedicated hauler/miner for goods/minerals/metals etc. I ended up with a MARK V indie ship but i used my VExor for mining and threw the minerals into a cargo container that holds 27,500 m3 ore best ore in good security areas .5 above is if i remember right lunarite fiery lunarite (know it had luna something on it) very very lucarative has a high ISOgen content and mellaxon content ) omber is also very very good as it has a really high isogen content golden omber or silvery omber tend to be the best with a single full 27,500m3 container filled u can expect to pull approximately 1.2 million isk depending on regional prices. but it takes a while to mine a full containerl. i had a vexor (with necessary ship equipment  it had 4 mining II lasers pulling 94.5 units of ore per cycle very comparable to a strip mining laser ( which averages 360 units) anyway....

ratting is very fun but u have to spec your ship as you go to compliment the necessary guns, space engineering equipment such as ECM, shields, shield boosts, armor increase, drones (if u are gallente) rockets are awesome but need the skills and ship to get it.

what i did after a while once i had my ship specced for ratting is i went around in .5 areas to get as many rats as i could. frankly when u go into .4 and below u run the risk of getting podded. which is why u always go in groups. hauling/mining youll need escorts to help you pull the necessary ore to the spacestation to refine it and process it whether on your own, or via a corp mate who has the necessary skills to refine it and get the most out of the ore.

there is plenty of things you can do to make money, but with everything it takes time. id say ..and this is merely a guessimate, you can expect to make an easy 100 million isk within 2 weeks at least i did doing mining and ratting. cause the good thing of ratting as well, they drop equipment, modules, guns, ammo, and tags, which can be refined, reprocessed, or sold ont he market. so therefore u can make more money. I am sure plenty of people who are playing currently can assist you, and help you get a feel of what should be done to get money efficiently. one thing i found in eve-online although i dont play anymore is it is a very mature commiunity, and extremely helpful, even the gankers who kill lowbies are even helpful to somedegree, cause theyll teach you what not to do lol.as i can attest to having learned a hard lesson or 2 lol. but in any event I hope this helps.

EVE is extremely non linear, very open, basically i would go far as to say, it is literally the only MMORG that allows the player to form, influence, and manipulate the universe they exist in to the extent that the game in of itself changes and evolves to something far different than it was 6 months back. thats the one thing that keeps me coming back ever so often. it is hard a bit, but if u find a good corp, half your troubles are solved.

id go far as to say, in eve-online, your only limitation is your imagination.

    3.4ghz Phenom II X4 965, 8GB PC12800 DDR3 GSKILL, EVGA 560GTX 2GB OC, 640GB HD SATA II, BFG 1000WATT PSU. MSI NF980-G65 TRI-SLI MOBO.

Mining can acutally become really fun, if you get into a Corp and said corp has mining events. I have many fond memories of 13 or 14 hour mining ops, with all thirty or so of us on vent, chatting away, giving the fighters hard times if the rats got to the miners, yelling at the haulers to get their collective kiesters moving. Good times.

By yourself, however, it is rather tedious, but usually it doesn't require your full attention, so that you can (like in my case) do classwork or whatever, and still be making money in game.

I can't imagine mining for 14 hours straight. But it is fun if you have a couple of people. One hauling, one mining, one shooting the rats... so even with just a couple of people it might be worth your while...

the problem is, in my part of space all the ore is gone a couple hours after server reset.

People have already given you good ways to make money, but learning the market can net you more than most people realize.  Right now, salvage items are at a premium, so if you don't know how to salvage, learn!  Thereafter, every mission you go on, salvage the ship wrecks for items.

Now, I've only done this once, but it gave me a taste of how lucrative playing the market can be.  I had 17 of a salvage item which I could sell right away on the market for 4.5 million isk.  However, looking at the market, I saw that there was a buyer 1 jump away looking to pay up to 850,000 a unit for them and that most selling at lower prices were quite a few jumps away.  I listed mine for 1 million each, and within a day I had 17 million in my account (less brokerage fees and taxes).  The reason why salvage items are so expensive is that they are used in rigs and rigs are new to the game.  Many corporations are just now buying and researching rig blueprints and the items most in demand are, of course, the most expensive.  This market may dry up a bit in a few months, but right now, it's hot!  Of course, there are other, less valuable salvage items that garner much less, but there are at least a few that can give you a huge windfall.

    Making money sucks.

    Spending money is fun.

Its faster to spend money then to make money.

The trick is finding an acceptable balance between the two so that you're having as much fun as possible. Usually this means you aren't making much money.

    Salvaging 101:

You need Survey 4 to be able to train Salvaging to 1. Then you'll need some Salvager I's to fit on your loot-collecting ship, along with Science 4 for tractor beams (not strictly necessary, but do cut down on the blood pressure increases) and a couple of the aforementioned beam modules.

After that, you kill a rat (or a player, whichever), then get your loot-collector ship to tractor the wreck to it and first empty it of loot, then engage salvager. You cannot engage the salvager while the wreck contains loot.

A second account helps immensely here, but is not strictly necessary. Mission wrecks keep for about a hour, so you can complete the mission, bookmark all 'rooms' in the deadspace, go to your agent and report mission complete, then go loot the (now empty) spots where the wrecks are.

So thats about it?, Well with a few more outcome´s then im off to some serious income? well I need to ask one more question..

Is it better to "REFINE" ores that I mined or is it better to sell the ore right away?

Okey, now a few more questions poped up in my head.

How much can you count in profit in just salvaging your missions, (level 1 missions?)? I´m curious.

And i made a little counting home these few houres, I mad a new 14 day account just to test some things. Here goes: If you buy a  Industrial ship, which has 4850 m3 in storage, (remember I came to this solution by counting Mining houres with Jaspet).

And 500 jaspet takes about 1000 M3, that means i can atleast use 2400 jaspet to refine, and 50% of the jaspet will give me about 1200 noxcium, which is worth about 500 ISK each:

I used a calculator (1000(Jaspet) * 4.8(Storage in ship) / 2(Half of them will be Noxcium) * 500 (Noxcium worth in ISK) = 1,200,000 Isk * 5(Times you can mine full in an houre) * 4(The Houres you mine) * 4(How many days in a week you mine) = 96,000,000)

    So lets make it easy now that you understand: (1000 * 4,8 / 2 * 500 = 1,200,000,) * 5 * 4 * 4 = 96,000,000 (This does NOT include taxes and fee´s)

So i wonder, Is 96 Mil possible to reach within 2 weeks, or was I to tired to do this right?

IIRC you need a decent amount of skills to make refining more profitable than just selling the ore usually. Even small corps usually have a decent refiner though, it might be a good idea to get into a mining corp or something and give all of your ore to your corp refiner for zero-waste refining. Even if the corp/refiner takes some off the top, you'll likely come out ahead.

As for salvage profit, I don't think the market has really stabilized yet, and it is based a bit on luck. You can do a relatively quick level 1 mission and get 10 100 K circuits for a 1 mil profit off the salvage alone. Once again it is a good idea to be in a corp, since you might be able to get your salvage made into rigs that are then sold at great profit.

If you get Refining to 5 and Refining Effciency to 3 or 4 you pretty much don't lose any Ore other than what you pay to the Station if you in Empire. That and a few specialisation Levels in the Ore you are mining and you are set.
