Well, think about it. Why not?

I'm not gonna play it, but if they start making MMORPGs for younger target audiences, then they'll be hooking us into this addiction even earlier. And the BIG SCARY TOBACCO COMPANIES showed us that its the most effective way to get a steady income off entire generations::::34::

But seriously, console system MMORPGs will definitely have the potential to draw a younger crowd. Why not tap that market? Why limit the kind of fun we have in our games to the older crowd?

Hell, maybe if kids start playing these at younger ages among themselves, they can learn to play with dignity and respect for themselves and others without making those of us in the older crowd occasionally wish there were age restrictions on these things::::39::

I really hope that *insert game name here* will be the first game to ever live up to all of its pre-release promises, maintain a manageable hype level and have a clean release. Just don't expect me to hold my breath.

I think True Fantasy Live Online looks fun. I think the lighter colors will help make a light-hearted atmosphere, and who doesn't like camels?

I think I saw a screenshot of someone riding a camel, something which I feel is awesome. I am going to buy the game, and I happen to like the graphics. I mean, think about it; EQ's graphics suck, but people still played it. I have no idea what a semicolon does really, but I've been trying to fit it into a sentance for about a week now... image

The video at the link provided didn't work, but I found another one. I've never provided a link on here before so if it doesn't work just copy and paste or something.

And there should be a movie there...

Ok, I just watched the movie, it was kinda dumb. Not the game, I mean the guy talking and the words he said and such, they could've done much better.

me and three of my friends started playing EverQuest when we were 14. we had shitty computers that were like the bare minimum requirements to run the game but yet we got our parent's credit cards and got hooked. I think we were pretty mature on the servers because we weren't big on the Quake and I r00L j00 L337n355 that was going on. i have younger friend's that are playing mmorpgs too and i don't think it's fair to single out "younger kids" as the immature group of players you meet in MMO's, but the people, regardless of age, who are new to online chatting, gaming, and community in general. for example, when i invited over my 19 year old neighbor who isn't into computers at all to check out EQOA, the first thing he wanted to do was get on the keyboard and start swearing at everyone because he knew no one would know who he was and there'd be no consequences. anyways, just an observation from my pov.

The graphics in TFLO look fine, I've seen screens of dark dungeon levels that looks pretty awesome. Also the cell shading isnt just there to appeal to kids. PSO was cell shaded and I always played that with other adults, we had a blast. Cell shading takes a lesser toll on system resources, thats why you can have 10 people in the same adventure party, all talking to each other in RT voice. TFLO has no leveling , and thgat alone is enough to catch my attention. Skills are use based, as in Project Entropia, the more you do something, the better you get. There are lots of clans popping up for TFLO, including mine called The Clerian Counsel :

Although there are some exceptions to my arguement i am gonna make it anyway.

Kids are the people who spoil most MMORPG's current. They are the powergamers, the cheaters, the kill stealers and PK'ers.

They also play the game in order to get to the end, or the leve cap, rather than for the social interaction and the roleplaying aspect of the game.

Like i said there are obviously a few kids who are mature enough, or simply nice enough to play MMORPG's properly and be a part of the community, but as in life kids should do their own thing, and adults should do another.

Oh and a good looking MMORPG for the XBOX is fable - i think i am gonna have to buy and XBOX unless it comes out on PC also.

I'm going to have to disagree with you some bsherlock. To state that kids under the age of 18 are the culprit behind many of the problems in todays mmorpgs is incorrect in my opinion. I belief that, if a study were done, you would find that the majority of immature people and trolls in mmorpgs, heck online period, would be 18 to 25 year olds. I'm 32 and I work with people my own age who I would be ashamed to hang out with in any social function, online or offline, because of their maturity level.

As far as power gaming and leveling go, that is more of a fault of the mmorpg's game play design than the age or maturity of the person. Now, granted, I left EQ a few years ago because I got bored with it especially because of the leveling and lack of role play, but I'm not going to blame the kids for that one because I even found myself doing it simply because the game got boring to me. This type of problem in today's current mmorpgs is due to a lack of substance, story and role playing designed into the game itself more than the person or people playing the game. Hopefully, this will change this year or early next with the release of some of the newer mmorpgs.

Lol, though, I do have to agree. Fable is going to a very nice rpg image. Is it going to be multiplier though? Last I heard, online play for Fable was just a rumor, and the rumor also said that this had something to do with the delay for Fable's release. Hope so because Fable has story and substance. It, Halo and Halo 2 imageare the reasons I purchased an XBOX.

Oh i didnt mean under 18's as kids, i meant your 15 year old and less. Some people over that age are ok, though you do get the odd ass in every age group.

And fable seems more than a rumor cos i was watching a movie on UGO.com earlier. it also seems like it is going to be multiplayer over Xbox-live.

I wonder if my giant quote counts as a long post from me image
