AoC Delayed. Q4 2007.

Well, its official. AoC has been delayed to October 2007.

So there goes any hope of playing a quality MMO for the rest of the year. I bought WoW and TBC a few days ago. Glad I did.

Congratulations Blizzard, you have just won your 3rd successful year.

The good thing about AoC is at least it will be more polished and not like the unfinished garbage that has been coming out recently.

 

Currently waiting for the MMO industry to put out something good.

    Age of Conan really isn't the only high quality that will be released for 2007.

    Someone isn't smart.

    Serious death penalties makes every close call an adrenaline rush, and every minor achievement a major victory. This alternative rule-set should be in all MMORPGs.

    Works for me. I have another year of WoW in my anyways. Glad to see a company isn't in a rush to ship out a half-assed product (See anything by SOE for more detail).

    what would make you think that? im sure every game you consider 'unfinished garbage that has been coming out recently' was delayed quite a few times as well.

    True, but everything we know about the current condition of the game suggests they are a few tweaks away from a "finished" release. They could stick with the original date, and when all is said and done, they would have made a good bit of money that way. Instead they are going for a well polished release with a good long out of house Beta testing period.

    Guess I will have to wait even longer since I wanna play it on my 360.



    Was hoping to get my FFXI replacement in the somewhat near future, that game is stealing more time than what is healty. *sigh* what to do...maybe just reactivate my WoW account.

    sounds about right t me, I'd expect an early 2008 release. Theres so much from the game that has been discussed but not demonstrated yet; ike players in formation combat (players, not npcs), or thieves scailing walls to break into buildings, or what a bar room brawl looks like, or female characters in a video (not just a pic, but I'd challenge you to find a pic, I think I've seen 2 total).

    I just get the impression that the game is in more of an alpha stage and has a long way to go.

    Dunno about that. Funcom actually *can* make a game. And I'm not talking about AO either.

    well, except for the fact that basically everyone who has played it at conventions or demo's has had nothing but praise for it, and says it will be revolutionary... but ya except for that no delivery... yet

    That depends on how fast people burn through the TBC content and catch up to where they were, with gear, skills, etc., before the expansion came out and get bored and go to other games.

    Don't be terrorized! You're more likely to die of a car accident, drowning, fire, or murder! More people die every year from prescription drugs than terrorism LOL!

    Crap.  There goes one of 2 games I was hoping for this year.  I hope MMOs aren't going the way of the dodo.....
