    I dont think they mean swg classic, just the empire divied as in with no expansions with the NGE of coarse. Their results will prolly make them think that people are voting for the NGE. When really there are voting for classics.

    I think its pretty clear they dont give a shit about galaxies. If they did they wouldn't need a poll. They know what the fans want with galaxies. Everyone knows.  Everyone loses. Why'd they even bother releasing it?

    Rofl 56% to classic game (Which I have to think that they are not that stupid) -- They know EXACTLY what people mean by voting there.

     

    Sure they may not mean exactly that but still.... They WILL see this .... If they were to ever put up a real poll about the NGE vs the older version of the game it would landslide... Oh man...lol it would be great to see Julio eat his words.

    I think they know exactly what we mean. I just voted for the original game and I encourage everyone to do the same. It doesn't cost anything to go over there and click, and it's certainly not a vote of confidence to SWG current or SOE. If they decide this is a vote of confidence for the NGE then they can toast themselves once again and continue watching account hemmorage. I mean don't stop being cynical for sure(!), but don't let that stop you from speaking you minds somewhere other than MMORPG.

    Played (more than a month): SWG, Second Life, Tabula Rasa, Lineage 2, Everquest 2, EvE, MxO, Ryzom.

    Tried: WoW, Shadowbane, Anarchy Online, Everquest, WWII Online, Planetside

    Beta: Lotro, Tabula Rasa, WAR.

    Yeah if they had some public forums this would be wide spread... in fact people have posted in thier tech boards about this mess... and it always gets deleted.

    Call LEC --- tell them what you think and watch what happens.  Lol...you get added to a list of people...

    People give me shit when I say, "it needs to start over" .... new staff, new team, new ideas and a different IP... fire them all and start over ".

    Sure it's not smooth or easy, but if someone has some better idea while considering all the people involved and bad tastes in peoples mouths let me know.

     

    SOMETIMES you have to break somthing or start over if you fuck somthing up so bad that you can't recover it.

    Unfortunately, SOE/LA will find a way to manipulate the votes and will essentially say that NO ONE wants pre-cu.  They won't tell anyone though.....that they didn't even have pre-cu as a choice.

    Kinda odd that NGE is not a choice. I really hope they don't lump in NGE with clasic and say "see game is doing fine as is"

    Maybe they have ToOW as NGE seeing as it was only a 2 week difference, but just to be safe I chose JTL.  Reason is it ws no where near buggy before, and is the only saving grace (if any) of this crap we have suffered through the past year plus.

    I hope that one day they get it through their heads that they could be making SO much more money than they are now with an SW MMO. SWG, In my book, was one of the best MMOs ever. Anyway, I am having fun on Vanguard until someone realizes that. =D

    71% original game

    15% JTL

    5% RAge oth the Wookies

    9% Trials of Obi-Wan

     

    The problem is ALL of them were fun but ONLY under preCU or even CU.

    Just goes to show you LA is as lame as $OE. They should have asked 1. Original game, 2. CU, or 3.NGE.

    Their failure to do just that shows they are just as clueless as $OE.

    There is NO way anyone can get Original confused with the NGE. Poll says original and NO where does it say NGE.

    This is interesting.  It could be a way to poll the audience in a way not to make it seem obvious.  Think of the amount of content there is now, a grand majority of it is from the expansions yet the original game by itself right now stands at 59% with the next best at only 18%.  Any dummy would see a discrepancy in this.



    I voted and making sure my friends will vote soon.  I sure hope LA gets the message even though it may be between the lines, so to speak.

    Guys, they had surveys with groups of people gathered in a room done by a profesional marketing group..and people chanted "pre-cu FTW!!" They still would not remove the nge and give us the game that we purchased, played, and loved.  Greed wins! Everyone else loses. Hopefully though, they have something new in the works

    Yes, I am a troller. Just thought i'd get that out of the way. I troll for info and i've heard it and read it all when it comes to SWG. I know that this is a touchy subject with people, i know it is for me. I have sat here and signed petitions and watched all the crap SOE has thrown at us. We were always the ones asking for our voices to be heard, but it always fell on deaf ears. Now, they are asking. NOT SOE. I don't care what anyone else says, I HAVE HOPE ENOUGH FOR ALL OF US. If you think i'm crazy then, fine. If you want to blow it off, fine. To each their own. Negative thoughts provoke negative action. From all i have read and trolled for, seems to be coming true. I will be delighted to bust my nut in your face if YOU bitched and showed no hope and all comes true. I would expect the same if i'm wrong. But unless SOE can suck the gold off George Lucas' oscars. Things will change soon. Very soon. Either sunset or classic servers. The pulse is slow but they will give it one last jolt with the paddles to try and save it.     My thanks to the OP for highlighting this poll.  I clicked "original game."  I've wondered about the sanity of people connected with the NGE at times, but surely even those with delusions will have a hard time misinterpreting "original game" lol.  I've been surprised before tho.  Only time will tell what they decide to do with this.

    I would rather they ask what your favourite game system was: original, cu or nge.  I see the expansions like jump to light speed etc. as a different issue.

    Having said that though, LucasArts press has equated the NGE with Trials of Obiwan.  Now, you and I know this is not true--Trials of Obi wan was released first--but nevertheless a Star Wars Insider article dealt with the two as one in the same.  In light of this, I feel that any vote other than ToOW favours the pre-nge game systems.

    Having said all of that, the "original game" option still seems to send the clearest message in support of the original game system I think.
