All I know is they gave me the opprotunity to vote, no matter how its worded, for what i liked the most. which would be the original game or JTL since they were both pre-CU. Thats what I liked and thats what i will tell LA on their poll. Just go vote in the poll. It takes 2 sec and you out. Hell vote for trails if you want, i dont care just vote. It may be a bunch of crap, or filler, whatever. I DON'T CARE!! The point i'm trying to make is, they finally asked us what we liked, and thats more than we ever got from them in the past. In a dreamworld we would then hear that $OE have lost control of Star Wars Galaxies and the game was being sent to a better developer to work on the game.
What I really like about this poll is that it's on the LucasArts web-site. People say that polls in the SWG refuge forum are taken from a biased sample. LucasArts is not designated as a "refuge" for SWG vets. Anyone who has an interest in LucasArts games will visit that site, so the poll is more likely representative of the general Star Wars gaming population. That's pretty cool. Also, since LucasArts controls the Star Wars name, maybe they will catch a glimpse of reason and put an end to the NGE nightmare and find a company that won't abuse Star Wars fans by the tens or hundreds of thousands. It's a faint hope, I'll admit, but this is a thought at the back of my mind. It would surely be a welcome change if something good happened for StarWars MMO fans.

No surprise to us I'm sure, but perhaps a whiff of coffee for LucasArts. It's long past time to wake up over there and put an end to the mistreatment of StarWars fans everywhere.
If the migration of all but 10k players dont tell them heck i dont think a poll will..Why would they listen now? havent thousands of vets been screaming in protest since april 05 to bring back the original game and just fix the bugs?? My server Died twice during these so called game enhancing changes..i really wished some smart bean counter can see that a classic game would bring alot of players back...cause the NGE surely ran us off..If this poll holds any merit for the Classic game coming back then great..but my hopes for the old SWGPrecu will likely just be that "Hope"...............

LOL, I don't think you are being a dick. If you feel the way you do, then why would you believe what they've told you on the matter. Hehe. They aren't just gonna tell you, or blurt it out. Theres a difference between making an extreme amount of profit..and being greedy. One is a blessing from your customers for a product or service, and one is making as much money off of the suffering of your customers product or service. IMO.

Well I have an account on the LucasArts forums as well. They're free, so anyone can get one. I posted on there about the poll. I explained that I voted for the "original game" because I liked that game system best. I said that their poll wasn't very clear in light of the changing game mechanics. I clarified for example that I thought the content of ToOw was great, but that the NGE wrecked it, so I couldn't vote for it. I reminded them that the "original game" means pre-cu to a lot of people, so they should take that into account when they look at the numbers.

I have to agree. They aren't going to listen. LA is just as bad as $OE ... maybe worse because they LET and/or appoved of this happening.
If the mass exodus of 350K to maybe 500K (overall) customers isnt enought to tell LA that they did bad things to the game ... then this poll wont do anything either.
