This game looks amazing, and i expect it to be the best MMORPG created, cause its Dungeons and Dragons. But then again the movie sucked

I hope they do it well, but I really have my doubts . I am gald there are a couple other older gamers here started AD&D in 1980, and I still run a 1st/2nd campaign. I know the game is going to be 3rd ed or 3.5, which I really dislike both. I definately agree 3rd ed doesn't feel like D&D at all, just a very bad power game copy.
3rd ed to AD&D is like warcraft is to warhammer a really bad imitation. *GASP* I said something bad about blizzards lol, but I tend to do that alot.
I really hope they make it feel like D&D, because from what I have read and seen it just doesn't fell like D&D, but it is in early development, so we shall see. I am slightly depressed, that turbine is doing it, from how they are killing MIddle earth, so I don't really have faith in them to hold true to D&D. On the other hand, D&D is a lot less demanding and easier to represent than Middlle Earth, so they might be able to pull it off.
I guess we will have to wait as, it might be a while before it is out.
A lot of D&D fans were wary about the whole action combat ideas (they've got videos at IGN), but the fact that the developers actively play D&D themselves, and that WoTC loves the development so far, is a bit relieving.
Hmm really? I didn't know they were making this game! I'm glad to hear it though, it seems like they could develope it into a decent game if they work hard enough at it! Let's hope they do a good job!
I am still kind of leary about how much the game developers like D&D. Since most of the D&D games made after the old gold box ones really haven't had the feel of D&D, or have really been all that enjoyable. The closest would be the first Baldurs gate and Icewind dale. The ones since really haven't grabbed me. Neverwinter nights had a horrid story, and the games wasn't all that great. Yes the tool box was pretty nice, but the mechanics of the game were pretty flawed. It was nice to play some of the old adventures on the game lol, but the 3rd ed rules killed the feeling for me. I don't mind if they don't have the best graphics, because heck I am mostly playing DOS games again lol. I do hope they don't go for the garbage feel of WoW ( or world of really bad warhammer ripoff hehe). I would just enjoy having a good AD&D game again.
The only reason wizards likes D&D is because it makes them more money lol. I don't think, that they really care about the world since most of the writers have no freedom with their works. If wizards has to much of their paws on the game, I doubt it will be that great unforunately.
I really want to believe, that they will make a great D&D online game, but after what turbine is doing to the middle earth licence I can only guess . I don't want wizards to have anything to do with it either since when they start meddleing with the games, they almost always have issues. I don't think Wizards knows a thing about D&D since their butchering of the AD&D licence. I guess I am really pessemistic about the game at the moment, but as a old gamer I am still trying to hope it will be a fine example.

Thats ok... the Super Mario movie sucked too.
The movie aint anything like playing the game(pen n paper). LOTR movies is the greatest movies of all time, but I dont like the games at all.
