I know there's several threads about asking for new games. I'm going to ask for a suggestion on new games to play based on my new found casual, actually do stuff then grind lifestyle...
Games I liked/disliked and why:
EverQuest - End gaming was a blast. During higher population years grouping and guilding was excellent. I'd prefer to find another game that did raiding as good as EQ did, like with the flags and such... not just kill a boss when he's up in some normal area.
LotRO - [Edit removed for NDA stuff... but ermm lets just say it's quick paced... anyone who's played it knows what I mean]
Vanguard - Just quitting this game, not due to lag or graphics, but the lack of players wanting to group up, the insanely huge world, and the constant exp grinding nerfs. Currently takes my level 20 rogue four-five hours to level up soloing, with a very hard time getting groups without running across the world for hours.
WoW - Never really got into it... I played it for a few weeks in December, but I just farmed a few copper chunks and spent mad money on cheap gear becoming "uber" in 20 minutes.
2Moons - Beta'd this game. Mad grinding, huge dupe bug right now... A 15minute grind feels like days. Nothing to do but PK noobs, fish, and grind.
Rappelz / Tantra - Both good games, but the economy is so insanely screwy that everything worthwhile in the economy costs millions. Some people in these games have 50M+ and like to buy out everything and resell even higher...
Anyways... my request on games would be maybe something with raiding (preferably more than 2 zones and needed flagging [see EQ]), not a total grind fest while maintaining a good atmosphere, and a decent population.
I know I'm picky, but help would be appreciated. Oh, PvP is fine, outright FFA PK kinda blows [see 2Moons].
PS. Someone steal Darkfall and make an EMU server.. it'll come out faster
