Hey guys, just thought i would let anyone who is interested know that Tantra online has now gone Free 2 play, im downloading it now as i type this.

The last time i played it was when it was in beta, it was a decent game so i guess its worth a try now that its free. Im sure some of you may like it.

Im not expecting anything ground breaking but i remember it being fun enough to waste some time on back in beta. Its free, so it cant be bad either way i guess.

I beta it back in the day. I knew it wasn't going to suceed. Many of PH outsiders wanted to spend their money on playing it, yet the management was horrible for a nice MMORPG back then. I don't know how it is now, but if the same people/GM's are there I don't think I want to go back. So if it's now free that's pretty cool, but I'm occupied with Granado Espeada now.



Here was my Review on it when Open Beta stopped (they stopped it early so they can make some money):

Even though this comment is lengthy, if your interested in this MMORPG, I advise you read it. BTW, I can’t make paragraphs so I tried to make the dashes as markers. The comment area really needs some work done to make it more of a post instead of a cheap notepad-like posting .-----------------------------------To tell you the honest truth, this game isn't ready for P2P. These guys in the Philippines just need money. Now let me get my ratings out of the way:--------------The Music in this game is pretty boring after a while. There is only like 3 tracks. Over all the sound is good. Graphics are nice and polished. There is not much role-play at all. It’s almost like a “do what you got to do” thing going on. Don’t get me wrong, this game is fun but it, it doesn’t match to the hottest MMORPG’s out there today. It’s not even close. Maybe the Korean version is but not the Philippines version. I would be sad to see any American P2P this game or anyone else not in the Philippines, because it’s obvious they don’t want any members outside the Philippines but they might want our money. ---------------This game is fun to play, but it’s simple (which can be good too). An 11 year old can get this down packed. The Community is full of people from the Philippines and they do speak their official language, but they also would gladly speak English so it’s ok to party and chat with them. The performance is good, but sometimes the support team does a lot of “emergency server shutdowns” messing up a lot of players.-------------Now about the support team, This game has one of the worst support teams I’ve ever seen. I conclude this from the many months I played this and the clues I’ve gathered. The GM’s (some of them) are almost never available and never do their work. They use their title more as bragging rights than to help people. One GM called GM Sesshomaru broke the rules of a GM countless number of times and the admin doesn’t enforce to banning him, he just lets him run free. I have so much to tell but I can fill you in on a little. Well, from the info I have collected, it seems that there is a little problem with your new GM's: GM Sesshomaru and GM Fairlight (I’ve only seen one so far on Fair). I have nothing against them but it seems there is much that you might don't know about.



When GM Sesshomaru first came about, I’ve seen him acting with the potential of a real GM but now I haven't seem much good from GM Sesshomaru. Maybe because I don’t see what’s going on behind the scenes but I don’t know. Well, from what I see that is coming out forward is that GM Sesshomaru is more of a hot head then what we have seen on the boards. He make threats and insults players in game. Rude ones. He made a threat my newest friend online that he would beat and kill her in real life. He called her mother a bit*h and lots of mother insults. She caught him offering help to kill a fox boss for havoc (and if I’m correct, GM’s cannot help players) and got a screenshot.



She posted it on the boards but he deleted the topic. Remember the last topic GM Sesshomaru tried to cover up because of insulting a player but the topic was saved and reposted? Yeah, well that’s what he does to cover up from being caught. Now, some players are thinking that you are letting him get away with if for some reason. BTW, the guy never replied to a question I asked him about using a Zboard.

Now about Fairlight, all I got is this topic:

Don’t have much to say about it but it just leads me to very little suspicion. Also he/she didn’t have to use the “#$#@” to express his/her feelings. GM’s should be smart enough to use appropriate words in their post, weather in game off. Other then those two GM’s all the other GM’s have been great. Especially GM Amanda, GM Shella, GM Grumpy, GM Sonya and GM Tanya. I haven’t seen much from the rest but it’s not a bad thing. All the CoE’s are great; I’ve seen no problems with them. As well as the Administrators of the game like you.



That’s just a taste what I got sir. I have no means to harm to this game. I’m trying to improve, help, and solve as much things I can as a normal player. In my opinion this GM Sesshomaru will only equal hidden problems to the Elders and Administrators of the game that will force players to leave. Good staff and service in a game equals a good game. Trust me, you should see Star Wars Galaxies Support team. They may never answer your questions (either that or 5 months later).



Remember Sir that’s just a taste of what I have to serve and I’m only doing this to help the players of Tantra, including the Administrators and CoE’s. I thank you for reading this and will gratefully wait for your reply.-----------------------Now read the reply:



were those actions by sesshomaru continued after he has been reprimanded? if so, screenshots would surely be very helpful as proof. i have severely reprimanded him already for his previous actions and removed his forum mod rights for 2 weeks. i don't think it's letting him get away with it.



also, i asked him about zboard and he didn't know anything about it until i asked. he said it was a keyboard optimized for gaming. did my own search too on it.



as to fairlights post, it was just unfortunate about his choice of words and how narrowminded some people are. the original poster was a bit irresponsible and here's this guy trying to help us resolve our hack problems without any pay and then sees it, i guess he just got so pissed. what he was trying to say was that don't tarnish his name in this game. that's how i read "Don't put $#!+ on me." some people just see what they want to see.



i u didn't know yet, last december we experienced the money hack and the economy got so distorted, fairlight and sesshomaru stayed up with us for almost 24 hours helping us diagnose, recommend fixes and test the patch to fix it. they were not GMs then and we barely. ever since, they have been helping us identify the possible hacks that can be done to the game. what u've seen that's being done by other hackers is nothing to what they have discovered. u wouldn't believe if i tell you. the developers where stunned what they were able to do. the next patch is mostly to fix against all the hacks they have been able to discover and prevention against future hacks. but it is a cat and mouse game, so hacks may still be found. even games with nprotect and other game guards are still subject to hackings.



we do appreciate the concern you've shown regarding the game, helping others and all and we very much welcome your suggestions. sometimes u may not see us responding much on the boards but be assured that we read the boards several times a day and work on things we can to provide a better service.-----------------

Total BS.---------------Overall this game is not all that big but fun. If your looking for a game with good support, don’t come knocking to the Philippines version of Tantra. **I may edit/update this later on.**

Thanks for the post Riki, i know it had its problems back in beta fair enough, but im curious to see what its like now so ill give it a try anyway.

From what i have read quite alot has been added so it should be interesting, this post is just to let anyone who may be interested in it no that it is now free, i only found out by looking in the Tantra forum on here just to see what was there lol.

Yeah I feel you. I do miss the times of playing (I submitted the first screen in the Game List). If this has became Free to Play it's a nice addition along with others such as Anarcy Online and SilkRoad.
