Well if you're happy about it then cool I guess....I don't know if I should tell you to have a good time?

I'm not as up-to-date with current events as I should be, but weren't we supposed withdrawing troops soon?  Or have things changed?  Forgive my ignorance.

Still waiting for your Holy Grail MMORPG? Interesting...

Remember it isn't a first person shooter.    Be safe.

    Good luck to you sir.

It's just like FPS, but the graphics are better and there are no respawn points.

It won't be fun. But it will be an experience that's for sure.

Even-So. They still have rotations to do. We will always have someone over there.

As a veteran of the Armed Services myself I wanted to say thank you for doing what has to be done. Even though the only thing news people want to report are the bad things, I know there is a lot of good coming from what we are trying to do. People dont always see what is going on so they can only make their decisions by what they see in the news and those of us that are there or have been there see first hand what is getting better and what needs more work.

Be safe over there, its not the easiest situation to be in and damn sure not easy to know who you can trust so always keep your eyes moving and ears listening. May you come back home safely along with the rest of our troops as soon as you can and I wish the best for you and your family.

Out of every 100 men, 10 should not be there,
80 are nothing but targets, 9 are the real fighters.
Ah, but one, ONE of them is a warrior,
and he will bring the others home.

Whilst I don't agree with the war, and I don't think it's a smart idea to fight in it, I still have to say... Good luck, come back in one piece, and kick some ass.

Forget politics, because when it comes down to the reality of it, whether you support or don't support certain political affairs, deep down, those affairs still involve people, people who are making a sacrifice that neither I nor many others have the same guts to do.

So, I'd like to say thanks for the sacrifice, and I hope all goes well, and you're still apart of the MMORPG community for years to come.

         Good luck.

No.  Congress and the Senate passed a bill to cut funding for the war, but they will get vetoed by Bush and it will become irrelavent.  Right now we are actually in a troop surge where we are sending even more troops to Iraq.

20,000 to be exact. A little bit rediculous, but you know, Bush is self centered and only cares about his family, not the 20,000 family's that he will be seperating.

Anyways, Snakey, what will you be doing? Computer Tech, Airforce, groundforce, vanguard, marine? Curious.

    Army

I was signal, 25F. Basically a phone operator/computer network admin for feild operations. (IE: Coord relay for Tanks and Artillery in a FOB) but now I'm an 88m (Truck Driver) because I'm National Guard and there was a redistribution where my Signal Company was moved 250miles away. But really, I'm not even MOSQ'd for that because I was planning on contracting with ROTC but I turned it down to deploy with my friends, and the fact that I want to deploy.

So, I may end up being 11B (Infantry) when I go. I'm in the 39th Infantry Brigade. Not really sure. Don't really care. If I do go as 11B I'm going to try and get in my best friend's company and hopefully even into his squad.

I would actually rather be 11B than 88m. 88m's have the most casualties of any MOS. But, my unit was the same unit I was with when we were signal, all our jobs just changed... so I'm pretty close to them.

You're "stoked" about going to Iraq?

    <mod edit>

Our mission in Iraq is to make a bunch of rich white guys richer, period. And if you get killed or injured in the process, well that's just fine with them. Don't kid yourself that we are there to free the Iraqi people, or that we are there to fight terrorists. We aren't. We are there to secure some of the largest oil fields left on earth. Oil fields that George Bush will profit from, as will Dick Cheney, but you, the guy who puts his butt on the line, will not.

They are using you to benefit themselves. As long as you know this you can make smart decisions, but if you kid yourself into believing the propaganda you could easily get yourself dead just to make some other guy richer.

    Keep your head down son.
