2Moons OB was meant to be released a few days ago... now being held back for  month

Oh ya, I can't wait for this game. I wish they would give us a little more information as far as its progress and development.

Hope this game doesn't vapor up, so far its interesting Wind-Waker-like graphics are not emulated in any other games so far, the closest probably Toontown Online. And MySims, but too bad that isn't MMO (yet).



Come to think of it, why so few cel-shaded games? It's as if every 3D-modelling for MMO can't breath without textures...

Actually the reason it is taking so long, I believe, is because of how much it is like Wind Waker. I believe they are currently locked in a legal battle about wether they ripped it off or something like that. So I think we have a while to wait yet...

I heard that Nintendo warned them about the similarities being too close to Zelda but that was like 2 years ago. I never did see anything that said Nintendo actually pressed charges, but that would explain why this game has been delayed for so long.

I don't think that's the case. After all, Nintendo doesn't own a patent on the concept of cell shading and in a court it would be almost impossible to prove that Project Wiki "ripped them off". It wouldn't be in Nintendo's best interest to bother, assuming they even had a case.



What worries me (and I've been dying to play this game) is that the website still has its release date set for "sometime in 2006". If they're not even bothering to correct the release date, that suggests to me its low on their priority list. I call indefinite hiatus on this one.

Yeah, the Korean site is more up to date and has its release date in 2007. I know though that Webzen hired Cindy Armstrong (who is i guess is pretty well known)  to head their North American branch and in her interviews she seems pretty excited about Project Wiki.

yeah, ive been watching this game forever and seeing no development is kind of depressing. Webzen seems to be putting all of their attention tword Huxley. I just want the game to be out and be good so i have something to play, looks really fun though.

I feel the same way about Gods and heros. They first mentioned the game back in 2005. Don't rush them though because you want them to work all the bugs out.

Nice reply to give it some life again, copying the previous one. But yeah, as long as you say every year it'll be around oct~dec it will at some point actually be released around that time.. probably.

 

First release year was 2006, English site of webzen still says 2006 I believe. Korean says 2007 and MMORPG.com will merely say every current year till it actually comes out.

It's an estimate anyway, what's 2 years off? I mean, you can count 2 years with your fingers... even with merely your thumbs!

 

Seriously though, Webzen does have some cool looking games, but they spend way too little time to the public. Even the Korean site barely ever gets an update about a game. Almost every other game company has at least 1 information update a month, while in production and after the first teaser/trailer has been released.

 

 

I would love to play this game, but I don't intend to start playing it from my deathbed.
