Notebook Video Cards

FlemFlem Member UncommonPosts: 2,870

Any one know what would be the best notebook video card around at the moment.  Im looking at getting a gaming notebook so am looking around for comparasims at the moment.

I havent found a notebook yet that im satisfied with as standard, they all seem to need a tweak here and there to get them to the level i want.  Any other notebook suggestions that i can take a look at would be appreciated.

PS.  I had ordered an ASUS G1 but the bloody things have taken (so far) 2 months to get a shipment into Australia so im giving up.

As far as the 15'' notebooks go which would be better card between the ATI X1700 or the GF7700??  Is there much difference and are these cards still good for gaming?

Both of these cards are good for gaming on a notebook. But, the 7700 will give you more performance than the x1700

    Great question!

I am looking to upgrade my laptop, which I have had for around six years now.

I was looking to spend around, maybe slight over or under, 2k (edit: American dollar).

    Does anyone have a suggestion?

Needs:  (a) wireless; (b) some gaming; (c) must last me 4 years (if possible).
