well, according to the people posting last night, there are tons of vendors to buy from, the cantinas are full and there are 80v80 PvP battles nightly.  Are you saying you cant find help in game?  SHOCKING!

I cant fathom that you cant find whre to get armor, I mean, armor is so basic.  Try one of the MANY vendors in the ghost towns...err, I mean thriving community centers.  Ask one of those 160 players from the nightly PvP battles, Im sure they have armor to spare.  Or, you could always try the world vendingsystem, I hear its loaded with real good whares!

OH, thanks for proving a vets point

Have you tried the Bazaar/Vendor Locator? If that does not work, try posting a request for an armorsmith on the official forums under your server.

    Hope that helps.

Jedi can't buy armour as their robes are no trade (except the Master Cloak), so they have to go loot it themselves.  For the robes, generally any Elite NPC has a chance to drop them.  Best locations are The Warren (for your mid level range robe) and the DWB or Ryatt Trail for the high level one.  Once you get to level 88, you then want to upgrade to the Master Cloak which drops of CY-M in the HK-47 instance (random drop) but you can also buy it since it's only a bio-linkable object rather then no-trade.
