Largely in Development

For those people that diss this game and call it repetitive and goal less you need to see how much they are developing this game, they introduced a new camera system from a crappy keyboard scrolling system, revamped the entire unit system to get rid of delay, now are adding pvp, voice chat, and all these other features: http://kotaku.com/gaming/original/pvp-voice-coming-to-dungeon-runners-268266.php

They have made huge changes to the game and the thing is most of these changes they have introduced are asked for by the players themselves.

So while I used to be like you people who thought it was gonna be crappy forever (and even got banned from the forums for speaking my mind about it) I now believe this game has huge potential due to ncsoft and the dev teams dedication.  They are actually gonna release a new build every month with major changes every 2 months according to that article i posted.  So stop talking crap about the game and  at least keep an eye on it, its gonna be great fun for you eventually even if its lacking in content now.

At least if you love hack and slash type games that is.

ps) damn this sounds like a cheesy infomercial... please dont mistake me for a spambot and ban me; these are my actual views.

Turnipz is on the up-and-up.   Here's a little extra info that stephen posted on the official boards tonight:

    Hi all!

It's been a while since I've been able to come post on the boards about the great new stuff we have coming to you. Well, it seems like now is a good time to do some catching up.

We have a sweet new build that, if all goes well, will be going to QA tomorrow. QA is our internal test department. They give the build a clean bill of health before we put it up for you. This build has some pretty cool enhancements and new content! Let me give you an outline of some of the things that are coming in this build:

    Voice Chat

We've added voice chat to Dungeon Runners! This feature will be enabled by default and will allow you to talk with other players in your group. We've provided a pretty slick UI for this so you'll be able to control your voice chat experience. This is a tiered feature. Free players can only listen with voice chat. You must have membership to speak. We're really excited about this addition and hope you are too!

    Improved Text Chat

We've made another pass on the text chat interface as well. You can now resize the chat window, control the size of the chat text font and change the opacity of the chat box.

We've also added a throttle to both world and zone chat channels to stop any chat-spamming players from ruining your day.

    Enhanced Invite System

We've made some good changes to the way you can be invited to groups in Dungeon Runners.

First off, we've added a new invite acceptance toggle to your right-click menu. With this toggle, you can choose to see invites from any player or just those on your friends list. The default is to only accept invites from folks on your friends list.

We've also made it so that you may not be invited if you are already in a group... and you may not be invited while you are already considering an invitation.

These changes will help you to control exactly who you want to receive invites from.

    More Weapons and Armor

Man, we love adding weapons and armor. You'll notice some great additions to the weapon list... including some new mythics! You'll also see several brand new armor sets that you'll love wearing! Especially you mage-types, with the brand new wizard robes, hat, gloves, boots and shoulders. I can't wait to find them for my level 43 shadow mage!

    Quests Abound!

There are literally dozens upon dozens of new quests for you to enjoy... including some particularly interesting ones involving mutant candies and WMDs! It's gonna be lots of fun getting to the bottom of these new challenges.

    Improved Vendors

Vendors are now selling more useful gear. You'll never see shabby blue and green items off of vendors in Townston again! Spend that hard-earned gold on some sweet new gear!

    More Skills?!

Yes, more skills. We've added several new passive skills and a fun new group-oriented skill called "Offensive Gesture". This skill, when used, will offend nearby monsters so much that they just can't help but attack you...

That's all I have time to post about now. Expect to hear more about this build going to the PTS over the next couple of weeks. I gotta get back to work...

    Thanks for playing!

    steve

Also, something not mentioned is there will be 3 chars/account in the very near future.

You know im gonna have to go against the grain of my post here, while were all fighting the exact same re-colored monsters in the reptitive dungeons with literally no challenge and few skills the devs are now about to implement some sort of "card system" and all this other crap.  Where players can get cards with their guy on it.... ya... real great...

This game might be worth checking out in 4 years when these players run out of crappy ideas to implement and the devs have no choice but to make content...

Woohoo thanks for that, I have high hopes for this game, and play it with friends. Mario Party, Diablo II, and WoW... lets just hope we can get a trading system in the future... its to funny watching people try to trade and a noob runs up and steals their stuff!.. ((Yes I have stolen someones stuff before...))

But don't tell me that you weren't waiting for MMO without trading system ? It's finally here !

It's weird man, really weird... it's made to force you to do that dungeons by yourself i guess, because that's only thing that can be done in this game. If you could buy gear then you wouldn't have to do duneon runs at all. Then what could you do in game where dungeon runs are only thing to do ?

I just started playing this game yesterday. Granted, this game does not compete with any of the big MMO's but it is just alot of fun to play. Right now I am currently playing Guild Wars but I am sort of burned out on it at the moment. I am just waiting for Eye of the North to come out so this game fills my needs for gaming until the GW expansion hits the stands and when I get my fill of that I will come back and play this game more often.
