    Can't make me.

I'm not going to watch the video though...you can't prove a negative...it would be like me trying to prove that it's impossible that there is no God...These people need to find something more worthwhile to occupy their time.

Your argument is like a two legged dog with an eating disorder...weak and unbalanced.

I just watched and you are completely wrong about what the movie talks about. Nice job looking . The movie doesn't even question whether there is a Creator. The movie simply goes over the origins of Christianity.

I think you're afraid to watch it, because ignorance is bliss.

Ever seen that old movie mad max: thunderdome?  In the movie there was a bunch of kids that were left by their parents before the apocalypse.  The kids came up with a belief system that gave them meaning and helped explain the world they lived in.  Of course it was completely false but it became their entertainment, their history, their values, and what they believe defined them as people.  Modern religion is the same mental safety blanket placating the masses into serenity.

We are only infants when we look at our place in the universe.  You can believe in your fairy tales.  I choose to see the world through my eyes and be humble in the fact that we do not know shit.

Man! Some of those arguments were so weak that I can't believe that even the film-makers believed them. "God's Sun" -> "God's Son" because the words sound similar in English? The Latin is "sol" and "filius". The Romans didn't tend to use English so much as a language back in 300AD. "Set" as in "sunset" does not come from the Egyptian myth, but from the Germanic side of our language ("setzen" - to place, set down).

Most of the linguistic associations presented sound more like they come from stoned teenagers than language scholars. There probably are elements of truth scattered around in this video, but the outright lies kind of discredit anything that is actually based on real evidence. You only have to look into one or two claims to realise that this movie is utterly unobjective.

It seems that in the complete movie, they then go on to tackle the 911 conspiracy. Kinda makes me question these guys' motives.

Normally I don't like parodies of religious icons but this one is fucking hilarious and probably true.

I think you need to stop making retarded assumptions about why I do and don't do things.  You nitpick at my posts and constantly make assumptions about things that I believe and say, and 100% of the time, you're wrong.

You can say the linguistics part in the movie was wrong but you can't say that means everything else is wrong. That would be illogical. It seems you are trying to discredit them by going over other things like 9/11 and the linguistics. Seriously both of those things were minor....actually the 9/11 part had nothing to do with the Jesus part.

If I made a documentary and said 1+1=2...then went on to say the sky is green, does that mean 1+1=2 is wrong as well?

You call me retarded but then you judge a movie by it's cover and assume it talks about something but in fact you are 100% wrong.

lol who cares about disproving anything... in the end everything in the world is just opinions fabricated by people... even scientific facts arent accurate, the model of the atom is an opinion even though there are mathematical models out there to prove it. But maths itself is an p[inion as to how it works... humans say how it works and its that... some people try to say "this is the farkin truth"

i say to you what is the truth, it is opinion

yeah i did, the fact is this is one side of the story.. there are many sides of the story. This was an academic discussion of the bible and jesus, it wasnt a genuine historic story about the origin of the bible. Although the movie does give very good points with respect to the so called established "facts" nevertheless it is an interpetration thus opinion of the presenter given the facts he has attained.

This doesnt mean i disagree with him because i dont... i am a christian but my belief in religion is utterly in tatters and i dont know why i still refer to myself as one. It is just something i got used to and it is some kind of moral backbone now that i have been in it for so long

If I made a documentary and said 1+1=2...then went on to say the sky is green, does that mean 1+1=2 is wrong as well? It doesn't automatically mean it's all wrong (I didn't say that it did), but if you started your documentary saying that it was a fact that the sky is green, I'm not going to take much else that you say particularly seriously. The linguistic parts are presented as important evidence. If I was being generous I might say they were misinformed, but my gut feeling is that it's just fabricated.

I would also point out that the information about Horus is largely horus-shit too, probably based on the book by Tom Harpur, which according to various Egyptogolists, makes a lot of unsubstantiated claims, some of which the available evidence actually refutes.

Also the Gospels are not the only historic records of Jesus, which they claim in this film.

It reminds me of the Da Vinci Code. A convincing argument that seems to be based on some pretty solid facts, but the facts turn out to be stories, wild assumptions and fabrications, if you actually do any digging. There are probably one or two facts knocking about which have been built on to create an exciting, controversial conclusion. If you think there are any great revelations being presented here, I would recommend checking them out for yourself - and from reliable sources, not just web sites repeating the same information.
