Rising Force online, is going F2P with next update.

Well heres some decent news for anyone interested. Rising Force will be going to a F2P with cash shop model with its next update. No doubt the game will become absolutly packed which will mean there will be some amazing PVP there.

I actually did P2P RF for a while, but then i got bored, but now with it going F2P ill definatly be playing it.

Just so you know it will be 100% free, not like Archlord where you have to buy the game box. RF will be 100% free.

I know alot of you dont like cash shops, but they have already stated that they will not be adding anything unfair to the cash shops.

    yeh i will also be defintly playing RF since its F2P, the game isnt really that good to actually pay for :P

    Agreed.   This is probably the only MMO I have ever bought that I didn't renew the subscription after the first 30 days.  I seriously LOL at the fact that this game released without word wrapping in the chat box.   Like how hard is it to make sure your words wrap in the text box?!  I know its fixed now, but you have to have some serious balls to put something like that on the shelf at release and expect people to pay monthly for it.  Makes me wonder if Brad McQuaid was helping these guys

    Yep the game definatly had its faults when it came out, but it will definatly be the best quality F2P game on the market when it changes over imo.

    Compared to other Free To Play MMOS, RFO takes the title as #2 after GW IMO.



    - PROS:



    - The graphics are certainly alot better than most ftp mmos out right now.

    - Great PVP: Some of the most unique team-based RvRvR action ive seen in any mmo.

    - Unique setting: Playable cyborgs, elves or midgets. A mix of Sci-Fi and Fantasy.

    - It has keyboard movement (wasd). A must for me and probally alot of others.

    - Unique weaponary: Rocket launchers, mountable RLs and Mechs.



    -CONS:



    - Has a long grind. This is probally a major set back for most casual players.

    - Very limited avatar customization. (Probally due to the amount of on-screen avatars in the large scale Chip Wars)

    - No ingame story-line whatsoever.

    - Quests do not serve to emerse your character within the game.

    - There is 50 quests. One for each of the 50 levels.

      Lol well guild wars is like the king of F2P mmorpgs because its got the quality of a P2P mmorpg imo!

      but where not here to talk bout GW are we :P

    damnit, I still have 3 RFO games boxes left I wanted to sell..





    but oh well, its nice to know the game is free to play. Its for the best. Imo, its probably one of the better f2p games.  And all other versions are f2p as well, keeping it p2p just makes it more difficult.

    LOL, I was sad that I had 1, how did you end up with 3? I helped out at a Codemasters event last year and got a bag of goodies. I got a few nifty things, inlcuding 3 copies of RFO. I also got a RF online t-shirt lol...

    well, i didn't play past the first month either...i ended up paying for a second, though, cuz i missed the recurring time by a few hours aftyer getting back from a trip...maybe now i'll reinstall it to enjoy it at its fullest

    That's not the games fault.  Codemasters half assed their version of it.  90% of the problems I saw in CM's RFO.  I never saw while playing the korean version.

    I enjoyed the korean beta, as best as I could anyways...cant remember how I got into that =/

    but ill probably play it, when is this update suppose to happen though, need to mark my calendar. =)

You ever walked up to a woman and said "Declare your allegiance!"? works wonders.



    On sidenote, saying Vanguards tag: "Set yourself free" doesn't seem to work at all.
