Infantry (and Tanarus and Cosmic Rift) is now free!

Infantry is a third person, top view, shooter (Diablo style graphics). It was very popular and free many years ago, but then Sony bought it and instituted a $4.95 monthly fee, which caused many to quit. Now it is free again!

There is a RPG zone that used to be my favorite, sadly no one plays it, everyone likes CTF :(

I used to love Infantry years ago.  For the record though, Sony always had it, it was in beta when it was free and Sony always said they would charge a nominal fee when it went live.

You are wrong. Sony did NOT always have it. A company called Harmless Games used to run it. If you can find the old client in a ZIP and launch it you will see the Harmless Games logo pop up. Sony bought the game and it was free for a while under Sony, but that didn't last long. You are what we used to refer to as a "Sony newb."
