Is there an MMORPG that offers premium servers? 

 

One of the reasons why I am an off and on again player is because since i beta's final fantasy xi, I have not been able to recapture that feeling.  The beta server had 1 to 3k people on the server and it was an amazing experience.  I knew everyone and characters were able to be "known" throughout the land.  That is nearly impossible in todays mmorpg environments.  I  Can't be the only one who would be willing to pay 50 to 100 bucks a month for a cool moorpg with smaller servers.

    It would be insane, yes, but I'm not paying 50 - 100€ per month for it.

    What if it offered personal attention and real world changing events.  YOur characters do something and it matters. some quests offered only once?

    In that case, all I would say is Frontier 1859.
