anyone here ever been to prom??
i just went to my girlfriend's prom a couple nights ago, it was bomb~
well not the fact that i saved up like a grand, and all i have left is 100 bucks. but the whole limo ride and dressing up and stuff is kinda fun. the afterparty tho was the best. i totally spoiled the shit out of my girlfriend. haha since it was her senior prom.
just wondering how much you guys spent on your prom or gf. lol
i spent about 200 bucks on myself for prom, and the rest of the 700 went to my gf basically.
89.99 for black air force ones and 20$ shipping/handling because i ordered them online...
95.99 for tux rental.
and that just about sums it up for my part.
163$ hair coloring/highlights for my gf... ( honestly... it looks good... but it doesnt look like 160$ )
102$ facial plus a little baggie with a bunch of face stuff in it...
140$ for the tickets...
320$ for her prom dress...
60$ for the pictures...
70$ for prom shoes...
250$ for makeup plus a baggie of make up junk...
40$ for lays, flowers that go around your neck
88$ a couple for stretched excursion limo...
and, that pretty much was prom for us ... eck, did anyone else spend that much?

Don't have prom night in UK (at least not when i went to high school).
But the impression we always had was it was a good chance to get shagged if you play your cards right
But heck $900 for a night .No thanks.As a working adult I have not spent $900 ever in my life in one night.My graduation night from university was a nightcrawl around the expensive west end streets of london and i was £200 short for it(about $350) and nearly cried the morning after.
Still makes me happy to think the many hours i spent walking Sharon home from school and the odd £2 chocolates was money/time well spent to get laid .And happened a year before i left high school
We don't really do that in Belgium either or not everywhere, but you see it is beeing done more and more because of the influence american movies and culture have i think. It looks great so we do it too. I have had a kind of a prom but not that flashy but i didn't really went to a flashy school. I spent money to buy me a suit/tuxedo (around 300 dollars) but you i can use that more then once i hope. I had a great time celebrating we were leaving school but i had many celebrations back then for stupid reasons just to have a party so no time to keep my precious money.
But you spent a lot of money on one girl so i hope you will marry here. but the most important is that you had a great time. but damn i wouldn't spent that much money on one girl. she can buy here own dress and manicures and ... where is the emancipation?

God, what a waste of money. I could think of many other things to spend $900 on other than a girl you probably won't even be with in a few months. Sorry, unless you're married or engaged, no woman you're dating is worth spending $900 on. And sheesh, you even paid for her facial and hair lol. She probably only told you it was that much and pocketed the rest. She probably went to supercuts or something. And buying her a dress and make up LOL. Sorry dude, that couldn't have been worth it, even if you just put out that much money for her to uhh, put out. Can we say whipped?

haha, i of course went to supercuts, but not her. i was with her when she got her hair done o.o;; its ok its senior prom never gonna be able to do that again... not to make it seem like im rolling in the green cuz i do work for minimum wage at an ice cream shop, but for the money spent it was really fun... well im not exactly engaged or anything, but we've got really really good chemistry...
hahaha, speaking of getting hammered, it was really funny... after prom 4 couples, which includes me and my girl went to her bestfriends house and had a little after party. we set up sleeping bags and sheets and shit in the living room, and we all got drunk and 2 of the guys smoked out. i took a hit for the first time and it was horrible, i had a head ache and threw up twice, mixing alchy and weed is a nono... each couple had thier corner in the room and it was like a big orgy. hahaha that was fun~
i don't know i smoke weed a lot of times a week, so that's my money spender. but it is a lot sheaper here than in the US or UK, it is legal to use/buy fifteen mintues driving from where i live.
but still working for minimum wgae and then spending 900 dolaars is to much but hey it is your money

It's been awhile since high school days, and I spent at most $400. At the end of the prom me and my date went with 6 other couples and spent all weekend on a house boat on Lake Lanier.
