The jailing system is fine, punishes the gankers, not the REAL pvpers.

Well.. I was thinking about giving this game a shot until I saw this, what a stupid system.

Make it so if you're red you have a very high chance to drop gear, not making it so you have to waste a ton of in game hours.

  • Well I think that it's better that you have to stay in jail..because it's more realistic. When someone murders another in real life, they go to jail...they don't just drop there items....

Thats just to sad, if what the OP says is true.

I quite like this game so far, got a level 7 segnale.. it kinda reminds me abit of diablo, just with better graphics, much larger and more open universe, however it also seems much slower paced then, how I remember diablo.

Now I must admit, I didnt read much about this game before I downloaded it, I thought why read, when I can try it out for free anyway ^^ All i read was: "Massive bloody battles! You against thousands! Blast monsters into chucks of writing flesh!" And: "No mercy for the weak, no pity for the dying and no tears for the slain" I was like awsome! Just my kind of game =)

I like all kind of pvp mostly party based pvp tho, which is why i choose a support class. I like having to fight for my life (being ganked) or forcing other players to fight for theirs (ganking them). So Im wondering, does this anti-pvp jail system apply to every maps, or are there any special open pvp maps ?

  • I think there are arenas...like with seige battles later on that you can do without getting ip points, but as far as I know in just areast...all those rules apply. You can still pvp like you like too, lots of people still do it, but just be prepared for the punishments.

That's what I was sorta figuring. It's like the Karma system in L2. You're only penalized if you kill someone who hasn't fought back. ie. Ganking.

And, per usual, the only people really complaining about it seems to be exactly the people it was implemented to deal with - the gankers; players who only play to abuse the PvP system by going after players they know can't beat them. Legitimate PvP'ers, those who don't spend their time trying to gank other players, have nothing to worry about because it won't affect them anyway.

Don't gank people who can't or won't fight back and you have nothing to worry about.

    It's that simple.

Of course, for someone who's only interested in ganking, it sucks the fun right out of it for them - as it should.
