What is Blizzard doing now?

With the long lived success of WoW, Blizzard should be rolling in cash, but what are they coming out with other than StarCraft 2 and a new xpansion for WoW? I know Blizzard has never been one to churn out game after game, this is probably why there games are really good but you would think they would be making a new game line or another MMO or something. Anyone know what they are up to?

They have said already that they are working on another MMO in the background. They won't say which universe it's in, or any other information, but they did at least give us this tiny bit of info.
Other than this and the two mentioned above, that's about it, as far as we know.
There are the rumors of Diablo 3 still being in the works, hopefully they are more than rumors. D3 is a game I've been wanting forever, D2 is still fun but it's getting a tad stale.

Well, a new blizzard game wont come out for a while, judging by there past history of releases..they are going to let SC2 play out for up to three years, I dont think many people know if they are going to head in the direction of diablo 3, or warcraft 4..but that would be what it is. Or a sc/diablo mmo, maybe. But anything I say is just rumor mongering.

they currently have the market dominated with wow, why would they bother releasing another MMO to compete with themselves. Not like they're hurting on cash... they are working on 1 I believe, but releasing it shouldn't occur until they have lost their stonghold on the current mmo subscriber base.

Why make a similar MMOrpg if the current one is still cashing in a big $$$? The only reason to create something new is if a) old one isnt making money b) old one is getting obsolete, new one will upgrade, improve old one and will take over cashing in big $$$.
My guess is, if Blizz is making a MMO, it would be a different type of MMO.Maybe a MMORTS or MMOFPS in starcraft world. Or, at the most, it would be a scifi MMORPG. I doubt Bliz would voluntarily create something that will directly compete with WoW.

WoW will not last forever and if Blizz start developing a new game by the time WoW popularity starts to drop, it will be too late.
My best guess is that they are making Diablo 3 and World of Starcraft (last year's April's Fool, anyone?)
Yeah, what I've heard is that they have like 30-40 people working on a new project, and a lot of people think that it is D3, and that it will be announced at the Leipzig Games Convention.
They should be making Diablo 3, but we all can dream...

They just need to break out of the mainstream set they have themselves in with World of Warcraft... there is plenty of content, they just need to make it more accessible, why retaining the "fun" factor for many players. But I guess, when you have to raid constantly to stay on top and stand a chance in PvP, it's not fun eh? More like work or competing. Hmmm.
I still think WoW has plenty of potential, Blizzard just needs to tap that and communicate with their more creative members of the community.

Diablo 3... I've read that it has been in development for years and was shelved because it wasn't up to Blizzard's standards.
When Blizzard releases Starcraft2, you know they'll be ready to announce D3.
I don't expect Blizzard to announce another MMO this decade, when WoW is still gaining subscriptions. They should still release D3 and Warcraft 4 before an MMO.
the fact with Blizzard is that recently they like to keep the lid on the pot so to speak and it seems they have steel-armored security in that department.
Starcraft 2 has started development in 2003 and in 4 years, not a rumor nor a leak... nothing at all, tell you how they drive that department.
So, It is very probable they are developing new games, diablo 3 could be a possibility, a starcraft mmo another, but you can be sure they will announce it when the game is already looking and playing great to awesome (like SC2).
That is just how blizzard is.

I think we can expect a new MMO announcement pretty soon. Keep in mind that developing an MMORPG the size of WoW takes about 3 ~ 4 years, if not more. Everquest 2 was released about 5 years after EQ 1, Lineage 2 was released 5 years after Lineage 1. It makes sense to announce a new MMORPG soon.
Actually, there were some screenshots that got out, but I guess no one took 'em seriously since they looked kinda fake.
Soon as in the next couple of years? To be honest World of Warcraft has had unprecedented success and if games like Starcraft have managed to thrive for almost a decade without the announcement of a sequel I believe the same could hold true for World of Warcraft. With the expansion in development, Starcraft II on its way a seperate team working on an unnanounced game, while I wouldnt be surprised that they have begun development on a new MMO I doubt we will hear about it for quite sometime.
I am very looking forward to Wrath of The Lich King and Starcraft II so anything else is gravy (I honestly dont see an new MMO announcement as imminent).

I dont mean to troll or flame or anything but why does everyone seem to think or bring it up in a convo that the game could be a starcraft MMO or Diablo or so on just because they made a warcraft MMO dosnt mean it will be necisarly anything to do with SC or Diablo

edit: because they don't have anything else they need to be doing... they're rolling in the cash right now. realisticly probably polishing sc2 is what they're doing RIGHT NOW, that or dropping a duke or on a coffee break.
Personally I think Guildwars is Diablo 3 but hey, that's me. If Blizzard will do better than their former employees over at Anet....cha ching. I will definitely be playing.
If Blizzard were to release another MMO, I would kinda hope it's an original idea, Not something based on franchises they have already, something new. Although I wouldn't mind Diablo or Starcraft as a persistent world. Just would hope that it's actually balanced.
I'm sure Blizzard being the rookie team in the MMO world that they would only improve on what they have done. That's something all the bashers don't understand I guess, wow was their first attempt. Other publishing co's, gaming co's have had experience putting out projects and not doing as well.
*Kinda Off Topic* I remember hearing that White Wolf was going to make an MMO. Rumor? I don't recall who was going to help them make it, or if it was going to be Vampire: the requiem, or Werewolf: the Forsaken. OOOH, what if Blizzard is making this one for them?
Others have already posted about what titles Blizzard might be doing next, but I thought I´d add that Blizzard can´t be rolling in cash because they´re fully owned by Vivendi - and that´s where the profit from Warcraft would accumulate. Now, what´s Vivendi doing with all this dough?
