Entry 1: Yarr Jim-lad!

Ok  I downloaded this game a few months ago as I needed my next fix of piraty goodness and I didnt have the patience to wait for Keith Richards sorry Johnny Depp to satisfy my clucking in Pirates 3. So I banged this up and rode it for a couple of weeks.

Overall it is a playable game and its a shame im a casual and fickle gamer. Although I refuse to uninstall it I just dont have time for it and havent played it for a long while now. It's not at all bad I probably will pick it up again someday it just became a bit of a flogger with the grinding but this can be solved by teaming up with like minded and levelled people and forming a motley crew. There is lots to do in this game and I recommend reading the other threads here and try it out regardless. In particular read the 5/10 thread, the guy who started it seems to be chatting a lot of b's in my opinion so pay more attention to teh replies. Players arent just thrown into the deep end like he says you are theres a newbie helper who will get you started and co-ordinates for everything i needed were on the website which was great.

The only bad things i can say about it is that its a leetle too cutesy which wasnt a problem at first, and if you like your anime it probably wont be an issue, I just fancied something more realistic after a bit and the monsters seemed a bit samey in my humble opinion. The character classes are fixed sex and model, which is a shame but theres loads of ways to customise your  character in game. Also the community wasnt quite ready for me the self proclaimed 'Bard of Althaka' (or whatever that city was called) with mixed reviews about my continuous sea shantying and singing about the various solutions and ways of dealing with the drunken sailor earl-eye in tha mornin'

In short I didnt have enough free time to become a scurvy ridden master and pillager of the high seas maybe you will. If you dont like this game your little sister might :P
