i look back on the day when i played it was wierd i thought runescape was the best thing in the world until i saw the light which was the oficial best mmo on the planet wow
I used to play this game a lot it was the first mmo i played and i thought it was a very good game with all those skills i thought id be playing for years.
I find it is one of the few good alternatives to WOW
Sadly enough, I have been playing RS since it first came out =( and I am still a level 90! lol. I have high fishing and cooking but I take long breaks off of it. But why would you post a thread named "whos played runescape?" in a RuneScape forum? lol

I think people in general need to take more care with the words "hack" and even "cheat". No RS player has ever hacked the game to my knowledge. An extremely rare few players have identified and abused a couple of bugs that allowed item duplication and PKing in non-wilderness areas, but that was strictly abuse of bugs in the code (which is technically cheating according to Jagex's rules, but it's not hacking).
Scamming is definitely not hacking. The two primary factors in scamming are the intelligence of the would-be scammer and the intelligence of the potential victim; the game code only enhances either one of these, and I've never heard of an RS bug abuse / hack that was used to scam.
Ive played Runescape on and off for a while now. Its a addictive game at first, but after a year or so, the whole game starts to revolve around how much money you have, especially if your a member. Not that money is hard to come by, but the fact that all the good ways of getting it are so monotonous. And for a person with a short attention span, its easy to become distracted.
lol that was the first MMO i played, i remember it. it is crap compared 2 MMO's of now, but back then, i gotta say, there where good times to be had on that game... but i will not go back evr... lvl 75 and taking like a yr for 1 lvl, i dont think so. Nobody argues that the grafix sux and it is very mediocre compared to normal MMO's. But i just dont get why people half to post stuff like " I PLAYED IT, IT SUX RWAWRRRR!!!" , i mean, does that prove a point or something?? or are u just retarded thinking what u say makes any difference to common knowlege. that cool^^
This game may get flamed, but I cannot deny the amount of fun I had playing this was very, very large. It was, and still is a great game, I just wish they would release an RS3 with some modern graphics and full screen, with no more click controls, instead using WASD. Modernize it a bit.
i play runescape at the moment, it is a good game and keeps me interested with its wide range of skills, it does get a tad annoying that at high level you need mountains of cash. the graphics are not the best, but if you think about it, Jagex did a good job putting those sorts of graphics on to a web browser based game... still i would like to see it with a client and better graphics.

first mmog i ever played was helbreath.... like 9 years ago. i tried runescape somewhere along the line but uhhhh, no thanks.

Im lvl 112 and made over 250m at (gwd) god wars dungeon.
It is an awesome game if your member.
f2p makes up less than 5% of what you get in p2p
I am currently playing after a long break. I usually play for a while take a break, come back and play a bit more, take a break again etc...
