If you have played Everquest II for a bit and wanted a bit more challenge, or something new out of the game, I submit to you some progression paths to consider.

 

Slayer of the Undead Qeynos version

Software Needed:  Base game of Everquest II

Recommended: Everquest II Atlas (paperback)

Class Recommendations:  Solo Pally or Duo with Pally & Cleric

Level 1-50

After rolling your toon you will be standing before Murrar Shar on the Island of Refuge.  It is here you can choose to to the island main quest or leave straight away.

If you stay you should leave around level 7 as you will be ready for the next area.

If you leave straight away, go talk to Captain Vargas and go to Qeynos.  Once you reach the dock of your new home you can begin killing rats or fish until your around level 3.  Also usually within the hamlet will be mobs around level's 2-4 you can kill.

Once you ding around level 5 make your way to the Down Below.  This will be your first dungeon to crawl.  This dungeon will take you to around level 15-18 depending on how much time you want to spend.  You will find the instance Crow's Final Resting Place also in this zone.

After you have leveled up and have your bags filled go back to town and resupply for the next journey to Vermin's Snye.  Here you will level from 12-20 depending on how much time you wish to spend.  There are two instanced zones to explore as well, The Sepulchre of Jahnda and Sir Wembley's Tomb.

From within Vermin Snye are two entrances to the Crypt of Betrayal.  You can level from around 18-30 in this zone.  There is also an instance the Deathly Scarab Hive.

Alternatively you can leave the Vermin's Snye at level 20 and head through Antonica to Stormhold.  From there you can join and group and do the quests there.  If you stay long enough you can earn Berik the Sword of Thunder.

Also at level 20 you can do the quest (requires group) in Firemyst Gully and earn the Dwarven Sword of Cleansing.  Not too bad to be dual-wielding those two.

At level 30 it's time to go to the next undead dungeon, The Ruins of Varsoon.  This is a 30+ dungeon and should keep you busy until 35-40. 

At this point you can either find a group for Runneye or The Deathfist Citidel.  Both will take you through your 40's and then you can head to Everfrost for a bit.  If you find a group or raid you can then do Permafrost or move over to Lavastorm.

50+ is going to through expansons.
