Graphics...I'm confused...

Are graphics really that bad or am I getting something confused? Because the game looks like it's made in 2000.

Don't take me wrong, I'm not one of those shallow people that ditch the game if the graphics don't make their jaw drop, but this rediciolus. The gameplay ain't that bad and I could see myself playing the game in the future, but even with the catoony looks it's a lot to swallow compared to even sub-par today games.
