LFGame, Fantasy, good graphics, ability to solo

Hello, and thanks for reading.

My only experience with MMOs comes from EQ1. I started playing in 1999, and played fairly consistantly until 2006.

I liked EQ1, but found that after so long of playing, if I didn't have the requisite 3-4 hours a night to raid, my progress was stunted, and I went to playing low level characters again, reliving my glory days. I tried the progression servers, which were fun for a while, but then the people who could dedicate 3-4 hours a day ground the newness out of those servers, too.

I played on Vallon Zek, a pvp server in the beginning for about 4 years, and then quit for a while, before starting again on a blue server. I did like the pvp element, but not all the time. It was a good break from leveling to go hunt other players, and I liked it for that purpose.

I'm looking for good graphics, good character development, a fantasy structure, the ability to solo and accomplish something with my character in about 2 hours of playtime. I like to group sometimes, and I did raid a bit in some end game guilds near the end of my EQ1 experience when GoD and OoW were the newest expansions.

I went to the store today and Vanguard caught my eye, along with EQII, though I beta'd EQII, my computer at the time couldn't handle it well enough for me to really get an accurate feel for the game. I've seen on this site games such as Fury, LOTR, and D&D, but I haven't heard much about those.

I liked EQ1, and I've thought about just going back to that game, but I sort of feel like that game might be getting into the sunset of its life, and I don't want to start a new in that sort of game, though feel free to disagree with why EQ1 will be going for years.

Thanks for any advice.

EQ2... coming from a EQ1 player myself and having tried the others you listed the best choice for you IMO is EQ2 ..you will love the lore again the character development, crafting guilds, community, also visiting the familiar areas and seeing the changes they have gone thru is real nice.. i would get the 2 week trial if i were you ... and if you still like it et RoK which ships Nov 13 and includes all exp .. hope this helps

Thanks for the rec, Scorchien. I'm currently leaning in that direction.
