okay problems updateing client

Hi.

                here is my problem with AO ill put it in  long but easy way to read

   1. register account (fine)

   2. download the game (fine)

    3. start auto patching/updateing the game (fine)

    4. gets so far into updateing and says something like could not find this patch or something ()

     5. wasted time on downloading game and 15 mins on updateing (check)

                    well can anyone help me with this i wonna play this game i played itat my sisters and t looked

                     cool ive ever really been into sci-fi butthis aught my eye

what the message you are getting i think you had the same prob as me what you need to do go to ao web site i think you can now dl the patches from there .

get the patch you need install it that way it worked for me ive not had a prob since

If you're still haveing the problem, Run Anarchy Online and agree to the Eula, on the account screen look at the title bar at the top for 'Anarchy Online - Local Version: ##.#.#'

take note of the numbers where i've placed #'s and then go to www.anarchy-online.com/wsp/anarchy/frontend.cgi

Download the patch following the Local Version you have and install that, then try using the Auto Patcher again.

Downloading each of the updates is actually faster than the auto patcher, especially when a new patch is released, however it's more hassel and more work for you, so i'd receomend the auto patcher if you have numerous patches to install, even then it may take some time but persevere AO is a great game, even with the flaws it has, once you get the hang of it it is very addictive.

okay thanks you two im gonna try and download what patch its says it cant download like you said then re run the auto patcher is tha right? lol im redoanlading it coz ive been ryl unforgiven wars its quite a good game if you want to meet up and hang out in runi-ka then my name will probs be sancturer i use it all the time on my playe names lol and is this game free forever? coz i remeber once it was free for a year.

also would i have to pay and get points to have a good time on this game ive played some what i cant hardly get anythig good without paying real money lol thanks.....
