I roll to and from games constantly. I usually keep a sub for 3 months, cancel and resub to another one.
im not above anything either. I play them all and get bored after a few months. when i find myself trying to convince myself to log in to a game, I dig up old games and sub to them. If I dont own it, I buy it.
Older games are a great deal to. You can pickup a lot of decent games for $20 and sometimes less that come with a free month. So what if its 3 years old, its worth it to check out and give me a break from whatever MMO im burned out on. I mean, what other options are there? Keep logging into a game Im not having fun with and eventually become jaded?
na, im a consumer. Im not loyal to anything and I'm willing to give any game on the market a shot.
*edit* oh.. almost forgot. just resub

Then go! It's like banging the same chick all the time. No matter how hawt she is over time you'll get bored. Have a few games to hop back and forth on.
Probably a little bit to do with it was your first MMO and the fact that, despite who hates it or who loves it, WoW is, generally speaking, a fun game. I quit because of the community. Personally, I don't want to play the game that everyone else is playing. But, if you love the game, go back. Who cares. It's your time and your money, do with it what you will.
Sounds like you came to the boards looking for someone to validate your return to WoW. To me, it sounds like you've already made the decision. Nothing wrong with that either. There are nights that I double click my Dark age of Camelot icon and reminisce about days past. I used to love that game. And always will. It wasn't even my first mmo, but it was the first game I felt a part of.
Good luck, mate.

After playing WoW for about 2 months then stopping for about 6 months I also had the urge to go back. But instead of paying the 15$ a month fee I joined a private server. I think their alot more fun then normal WoW anyways
Back to the point, yeah, go back. I always have urges to go back to EQ1, my first MMO. I did recently go back, but it wasn't the same at all.
Too bad.
MMO migrant.
I always want to go back to Lineage 2. I say take a few months break after you get burned out and then just join back, no big deal.

Oh yeah I get this, an urge to subscribe and then feel completely dissatisfied after. I suppose I just want a good enjoyable mmo and I can't find something like that now. WoW is semi up-to-date and my computer can run it though which is where the temptation comes in.
Might as well go back, probably won't last very long but you'll have these urges until you find something to replace it with.
I frequently go back to MMOs, which is why I don't sell my accounts, but I never stick around long on them. Though I'm happy in VG at the moment and anticipate being happy there until Kotor Online comes out, if it ever does. Just need to find something to settle down in mate.
I have canceled my WoW account 4 times and went back. I am thinking about canceling it for the 5th time.
I have 2 70s, a 60, and a ton of lower level alts. I always get bored with WoW. I take a break, buy a new game, play it until I get bored, then go back to WoW. One day, I'll find a game that I can get all of my friends to play and not leave. I had thought LOTRO was that game, but we all went back to WoW.
MMOs aren't like significant others. It is perfectly fine to go back and forth or play multiple ones at the same time.
If you wanna play WoW, go play WoW, so easy mate
