I got Tabula Rasa today for my birthday and was looking forward to logging in. But it seems PLAYNC think im a thief.

Was wondering if anyone here has experianced this from PLAYNC before.

I entered all my personal and debit card details correctly but i got an error messege telling me to enter my card details again.So i checked and they were all correct. Submitted a few times more and now im told im making a fraudelant transaction. My card and personal details are all correct but they just wont accept them. I've emailed their support team and I'm waiting on a response. Please dont think im an idiot and got my details wrong :)

Just wondering if anyone else has had this problem and if they got it resolved and how?

    It's too hard to comment on this type of thing without knowing the situation fully, and in order to do that you'd have to post the details..

    and you shouldn't be posting those kind of details on a public forum (i.e. credit card info)

    One thing you might want to check is to make sure you don't already have a PlayNC account associated with that e-mail or credit card?

    Ever play a beta of a PlayNC game? Ever purchase something from them?

    I'll admit I haven't had too many problems with PlayNC, but I have had account issues due to password confusion (you have a PlayNC master account and specific accounts for specific games. I got confused lol)

    I hope your situation is resolved. I got very quick and informative help when I did have a problem.

    I had the same problem a while ago trying to buy GW. Not sure how I fixed it. Maybe using an differand browers or just waiting till you can try agian.

    I have two accounts with them. 1 ive never used and 1 i have GW and CoV on. I havent played either for about 2 years.

    Whats happened is,  I've entered my card details and the website thinks theres an error. There isnt because i can read and type :P

    I think because ive attempted to submit the same (correct) details a number of times, their system now thinks im trying to make a fraudulent transaction. Really annoying because i just wanna jump and in shoot some stuff. Hopefully it will get resolved asap.

    I did try on my other account and also my partners CC but same error. :(

    I am just curious, are you trying to use one of those Visa or Mastercard giftcards that you can get at cvs or whatever? If so, I wonder if maybe they just dont accept those? Maybe try a different card atleast initially so that you can get in and play, then change the card at a later date? I dont know. Good luck.

    I used my  Solo debit card and tried my partners visa card but it didnt work :(

    Back to..WoW i go to kill time and hope this gets resolved

    Did you use a different card for your account that has GW and CoV?

    If you are trying to use a different card on the same account it may give an error? Have you moved since then? I'd recommend making sure the profile on the account you are trying to add Tabula Rasa onto is complete and updated.

    Yeh its a different card from what i used 2 years ago.

    My personal details like adress etc havent changed since. Just my card :)

    that could be why...

    if you no longer have or use the old card, i'd recommend removing that card from your account.

    I don't know exactly how to do it, but I believe under billing info you can remove the saved credit card information you have and enter a new one.

    It may be causing the error if the new and old credit card info don't match... not sure though.

    call your credit card company. THEY are the ones who are refusing this transaction. when i had a CoX account my credit card would stop the pending transaction and contact me for authorization. i'm willing to bet this is what is happening to you.

    and if that IS the case, you might want to edit the title of this post since it isn't nc soft or the games problem.

    Are you playing in Europe? If so, there was a thread over at the VNboards about an issue with a third party merchant being used in the UK to handle finances for their European customers, and that merchant was having all sorts of problems. I'm not sure if they're still being used or not, but here's the thread link:

    Bah... I'm itching to play the game. Guess ill have to wait for a reply from their support team. No doubt its gonna be a loooong process

    did you at least contact your credit card company to see if there is a pending or if they denied a charge ?

    this has more to do with where you are located, and the location of the website you are trying to purchase from. I've seen it myself from time to time when trying to buy something online from US-based servers (I'm in the UK). When I found a UK/EU based site to purchase from I had no problems at all

    Oh btw. Had a couple of messeges from Support just telling me someone will be with me soon. but nothing helpful :)

    *EDIT* cant even get a game time card till the weekend :( Never had this problem with my, WoW, SWG, LOTRO, EVE, VG accounts. Infact didnt have this problem when i bought GW on the net and subbed to CoV. Anyone got a spare time card they dont want? Hee hee. Wanna play but this is taking so long for ncsoft to rectify. I dont expect anyone to have a spare time card but u never know! :P

    I don't know the issue, but I have two accounts without problems. How ever You only need more than one account if You gonna play with more than one computer same time. Means one account can handle all they games.

    My card works with my wow account :) i have no trouble using it with blizzard. I've entered all the details PLAYNC want correctly yet it wont work. I'm as confused as anyone

    I had the same problem basically. Really frustrating process to get resolved. Basically my advice would be the game is awful anyhow, so don't worry about it. I wish I wouldn't have convinced them that I'm not a thief...

    The site is doing exactly the right thing if they have marked you as "attempting fraudelant transaction". That should be normal feature for all such sites to prevent hacking credit card info by quessing. And, when you don't attempt again in 24 (or 48) hours, that status should be cleared and you should be free to try to enter you card details again.



    But contact your card supplier and ask them. They are usually the ones who are blocking the trancastions, not the merchant who wants your money.

    Have you setup a Verisign account to verify authenticity for your credit card?

    Have you tried closing browser and restarting the transaction at a later date, it is quite possible in your fantic attempts to log in and get everything moving you double clicked a link you should only click once.. this is more than enough to warrant the error.  Error codes are there to protect you... i am sure you would be writing in to complain if they charged you twice...

    I've had similar issues with wow, eq, eve... amongest others. For the most part, rebooting and starting process again works, in others making a completely new account works, sometimes need to update verisigns details to match email address to my current one... but it is almost never an issue caused by a website.

    At the end of the day, theres thousands of people getting in with no problems at all. Yet there are a tiny amount who cannot, and it is the website that is to blame? No chance...

    There is always something you've missed. Something you haven't done, haven't ticked, tried to do too fast... the fault with be you. You just need to find the issue and fix it.

    Ever tried really really hard to remember something you were about to say and couldn't? Take a step back and pause for thought.

    Why dont you enlighten us on what the problem was so someone else with the same problem can fix it.
