This game is Seriously Hardcore , im so glad i gave it a try , the tutorial and newbie factor is a pain , it took me over 2 hours to master a bit of the game elements but man im so glad i didint lose my patience .
One thing thats really important when you start up is make sure your character trains into starfleet academy all his life to be able to get the tutorial , after that your gonna be able to find out How complex all the ship controls are and how to andle pvp.
As a 1997 UO lover ( warfare and roleplay golden age of uo ) all i can say is this game is both games i ever stuck on mixed in one , UO and Eve online , believe me ive tried them all and the rest is just grind this there you go you lvl type of grindfest.
And the graphic part is that everything is in 3d of course the screenshot look like crap but you can zoom in the ship to see yourself handle the control move on deck move to cargo bay etc.
Im trying my second day now and ill be a full time member for sure .

I'd never thought about it in those terms, but you're exactly right. The sandbox aspect of SQO is a lot like the good old pre-renaissance days of UO
