in Aion

                      

its looking pretty cool right now on my opnion...i mean i just tried Perfect World and that game is a bit grimmy (hmm...well its in beta so i can't judge yet)

But looking at both right now im up with Aion

YOUR OPNIONS? IDEAS? WHAT DO YOU THINK OF THIS GAME?   

PS: erm wuts with the icons....i need help they aint working properly

    I just hope when the devs saying that they are trying to westernize this game, they dont mean make it too easy or have too similar elements like WoW or Everquest 2.  Because I seen some videos of Korean closed beta and alot of the quest I seen are go kill x number of these or gather a x number of these type quests.

    But on the good side, the graphics, cutscenes like final fantasy 11, and the character animations are pretty nice.  And I the flying and environemental interaction is awsome as it sounds. 

    And for PvP I hope the abyss isnt some WoW type battleground.

    Right now I'm thinking of how to hunt down and kill all the gold farmers (well maybe just destroy their computers and threaten them a little) before they attempt to touch this game. If I have spare time, I'll also go after the impatient, rich losers who buy the gold from them.

    Seriously,

     

    For me, graphics are somewhat important, as you'll be looking at these visually the entire time you end up playing and not say "I'm sick of looking at this ugly troll"

     

    The server controlled 3rd faction(Balaur) seems like a good idea as I would like to see dragons eat up the Elyos (Bwahaha)

     

    Everything else seem like "improved" old content, although I'm sure there's tons more they're keeping secret.

     

    But one thing that's bothering me the most is... the PC/NPC voice overs... I'm hoping they spend enough money for decent voice actors that's dubbing in English. If it's not too terrible, I could live with it.

    A developer has already said that the leveling will be somewhat like WoW's but a little longer. The post is in one of the threads on this forum.

    And yes, it seems like the abyss is like a battleground. This is not a full blown, hardcore pvp game. It seems to be made for more casual players. Which, is fine by me because I personally don't have umpteen hours to devote to games anymore.

    The abyss is not a battleground its where the higher levels do their leveling. Where you capture or defend your castle from the other factions raids. This is where the pvp is, you consent to it when you enter into the abyss its not like a wow bg. And as for casual a mob by yourself takes about 90 secs or so to kill. so its meant to be a grouping game and casual players are more soloers. so your theory is a lil off balance.

    But it is a battleground where pvp goes on. It is only like a Wow battleground in that there are two (three with npc?) factions that can fight.

    From what I've seen it is for more casual players. Again, if the leveling is about that of WoW's that is pretty casual to me.

    My first post on this site, and its for this game... that in itself should tell you something. 

    I was excited for AoC, until it was delayed and I stumbled upon this wonderful work of art.  I'm now looking forward to this game more than any other game.  I haven't been this excited about a game since the days of the snes, back when my mom subscribed to Nintendo Power. 

    The visuals look spectacular, the art direction of this game looks unique and the flight system is the most original mechanic I've seen in an mmo in a long time.  Besides that, I've been a fan of NC Soft titles since Lineage II was released.  Lots of people hate Lineage II, but I was a fan.

    There are also high lvl pve areas too i believe.  Abyss is pvp or PvPvE

    well this game got unique battle system, and also if ur mage u can walk left right or run and using spells like a console game thats great..

    but the thing  i like its the class..they pic the most played class in all mmo's its : warrior,assasin/blader,mage,priest, and 1 left i dont remember.

    flying.. AWSOME to be onest i am lvl 76 mage on wow and it pwn all mmo's EXEPT this 1..i'm sure this game will be the number 1#

    oh and btw this game u wont download from the website , u will need to buy the CD on a store(donno)  like 29-39$ i think

     

    can't wait to play it
