Best Computer Company?

JackBauer24JackBauer24 Member Posts: 283

Hey guys, I am looking for a custom built computer and do not know a thing about computers so I am looking to buy a top of the line computer probably custom made.  I was wondering what is the best company to buy a custom computer.

Who should I buy it from or what is the better company of buy from?

The best computer company is Newegg when combo'd with myself.

Other than that, I'd just go with Dell.

    Now with 57.3% more flames!

Depends on how much money you are willing to spend. HP just put out a sweet gaming rig. Costs about 6 grand, though.

I would say a lot comes down to you personally and what you are looking for. Companies like Dell Charge you out the Wazoo for a good gaming computer. (Dell owns alienware, btw. and HP owns Voodoo.)

If you know absolutely nothing about computers, and have a crapload of money to spend...any of them are ok.

If you know enough about computers to troubleshoot your own, I'd say go with a company like ibuypower. The rigs they sell are only a couple hundred more than you would pay if you bought all the parts yourself, but the customer service isn't as good as someone like Dell.

The bigwig companies sell crap computers unless you shell out the dough, but they have things like 24hr. customer service, on site calls, contractors to take your computer to locally, things like that.

You get a better deal from the lesser known vendors, but they can't usually provide the same level of tech support.

    D.

They all put sweet gaming rig and still is not worth it buying any unless that you're rich. I can build me one better than the blackbird for like 4.5k with gaming wheel, sound system & a 24"monitor (I don't like big monitors ).

anyways, I like dell because they got some really good monitors.

I do build my own. The OP asked about custom built computers though. No sense talking about building your own with someone who doesn't have the knowledge/doesn't want to, is there?

That's why I askeed what he was looking for. If it was for actual value, or for the level of customer service. If he's semi competent and just doesn't want to try building, he can go for a smaller vendor and get a better deal. If he really wants the customer service then I'd go Dell probably, Voodoo or Alienware if he's rich.
