CRC Error helpppp!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

while installing it says crc error! i even close my anti virus! still the same!

edit:

ok... somehow it jus work! i tried to install but it says crc error.... i abort installation. i launch installation again..... says crc error again..... this time i click ignore..... now launch tabula rasa.... it says error while launching the lcient and ask me to repair it..... i click repair.... but still says i cant repair.... then i close it.... then launch tabula rasa again...... then somehow it work!

    CRC errors are media surface problems. Means there is bad spots in You CD, DVD or harddisk. Like in You harddisk where TR is located, is one spot what You computer system has really hard time to read. So when it tries to read it has to try it multible times to get data out. Sometimes it gets it and sometimes it doesn't.

     

    Usually this is means that You should check You harddisk for bad sectors.

    Yeah, could be your hard drive or it could be your optical drive or the disc itself. Try what the previous poster said and make sure the disc and optical drive are clean.

    i download the client from the internet... 3 day trial.

    guess it is the hard drive....

    It might not be actually a hard drive error.

    Where did you download it from? Did you have your antivirus running whilst it was downloading?

    There have been cases where the antivirus adds a few extra bits to the end of the file which means that it will fail its CRC check (its larger than it should be).

    Also if at all possible, turn of DMZ on your router and download from the playNC website ftp://ftp.playtr.com/Tabula_Rasa_Downloader.exe

    Yes its a new download. but it might just solve your problem.

    *side note* if you have winRar installed, you might be able to manually extract the installer out, but it depends on how bad the installer is corrupted. I know that at one point in time during the closed beta that the fileplanet installer was properly Fubared.
