sounds like fun. Is there any restrictions though? do the players im attacking have to have pvp enabled or is it really just going up to anyone and attacking them? is there any rewards for pvp?
You're safe untill reaching lvl 30. After that, you're game. Starting from that moment on, any other player who's 90 (or below) levels higher than you can attack you. If he/she is from a different faction, he/she will also get honor points (which can be changed for rare buffed gear). If he/she is from your own faction, some penalties will be applied (gladly, not too many players decide to act like idiots and attack their own faction - except maybe those morons from Dragons guild, because you depend on the help you can get from them). They can attack you even if you're in defensive mode, and there's a chance to drop the equipped gear when meeting your demise (that is the most painful and brutal aspect). Normally fights should occur in neutral zones (such as Hexad Region, Wan Mountain, etc), but in reality raids happen on daily basis in ALL maps (wel maybe except Blue Mountain), including the towns. There is no safe area (except around some portals) and the guards protecting the various faction areas can be killed by high level players (they're 90 - 120, while top players are around 150 lvl). Some races can also knock you off meditation and kill you when being afk. Welcome to Zu!
PVP is actually a huge part of this game you will be doing a lot of pking especially when you are in a guild. This game is the best MMO i ever played and everyone should try it.
ZU is a PVP centered aroun game; leveling up is fast paced, but the PVP is the real deal, the main focus of the mage if you will; now the big problem is that there are no stat points, so your chance of success depends entirely on the gear you use and the skills you have. Because of this, you are forced to either spend real cash in item shop or join a powerful guil that owns pillars. Take my advice: in Zu alliances DO COUNT! So choose wisely your guild and friends, YOU WILL NEED THEIR HELP. Level up as quick as you can (level does matter), join a top guild and be sure to equip your pet with the max stats gear available for its level - YES, IT MAKES A HUGE DIFFERENCE. Fail to do this, and you will quit the game quickly, because without very good gear you stand no chance in pvp - and like I said, there's no way to avoid pvp, sooner or later you will have to do it - either in defence while solving quests, or raids, pillar or faction wars, because on top of your constant thrist for silver you will need also faction/contribution points - A LOT (buying skills or enhanced armor sets).
And one more thing: remember each time you die there's a chance to lose some of your gear, so try to get items that reduce the dropping on demise rate (for instance in some situations "nobody" might be a much useful title than "junior immortal" - so be sure to use it when doing quest in a knows pk zone - such as Miracle City).
