Overall hardware units were up 26% y/y counting current and next gen consoles and handheld sales. The PS3 was up 285% sequentially and 137% y/y and the tie ratio improved to 4.01 from last month's 3.82. The Wii increased 89% sequentially and 106% y/y, with a tie ratio of 3.86, not including the Wii Sports title bundled with the system. The Xbox 360 was up 51% y/y and up 110% sequentially, while maintaining a strong life-to-date tie ratio of 6.85. NDS sales rose 67% y/y, while PSP increased 38%.

Anybody else find it wierd that of the three current gen consoles (Wii, 360, PS3) Guitar Hero III sold the best on the Wii? I would never have guessed that would happen. Although I'm not surprised to find the game did well on the PS2, people don't wanna buy new guitars.

for most controlers you normaly forget them, but with the Wii it's even more forgetfulness about the controler.

I find it amazing that by 2020 first world countries will be competing to get immigrants.
Wewll it seems the underpowered console with the Gimicky controller and crap games is doing really well compared to the other consoles on the market.

According to IGN all 4 of the box sets were released the very same day. Not sure where you are getting those numbers but obviously the NPD hasn't listed them, therefor I can't really take them as fact.

Anyways.. Only the top 10 have been provided straight from NPD.. the other numbers you see there were extrapolated from text released from NPD and also some special requests for numbers.. I'll see if I can get some numbers for the other GH3 versions

I cant do guitar hero on the wii, mostly because its a hard to set up and play on my projector, and its not HD.So i bought it for the 360, mostly because everyone and their mother is on xbox live.

The reason its not up there is because they split up the numbers for GH3 into just the game and then game + guitar.. the number I just provided is what GH3 did combined..
The Wii and PS3 afaik did not have standalone Gh3 versions
