Question about upgrading trial account

I tried upgrading my account but apparently I'm missing something. The day before my trial expired I entered my retail key and chose the option to upgrade my existing trial account and keep my characters. Then I verified my billing info and chose the $15/month option. I submitted the form and the confirmation was displayed, and I even received this e-mail:

Your subscription to DUNGEONS & DRAGONS ONLINE(tm): Stormreach(tm) has been successfully added. You may now play the game! Double-click on the game shortcut created on your desktop to start playing. For more information on getting started, please refer to your game manual.

This subscription will automatically renew at US $14.99 per month plus any applicable taxes. Recurring subscription fee and any applicable taxes will be charged against your credit card monthly in advance after the free period. All subscription payments are non-refundable.

However when I try to log in it says my trial account is expired, and in Account Management it shows my DDO account as Inactive. There is a 'Resume' button, but when I click that it asks for my billing info again, so it makes me think it will bill me right away and I won't get the 30 days that I should get with the retail box. So my question for people who have upgraded their trial accounts is... did you have to click the Resume button once your trial was over or were you able to access the game right away?
