this will b my first ever MMORPG game ever played an im trying to make a smart decision on what to download. looks interesting but i dont want to wait hours for it to download an can u play this offline as well?? do u have to download all 3 of those on the download page?? soooo confused

I would suggest ya to play Perfect World instead. It`s quite new (open beta) and more or less way better than many of the other f2p games + not that endless grind + nice world + nice pvp
Tantra is already some time in business and biggest part of game consists of endless grinding. played it some time.

choose tantra! its a cool game!
it was a fun game but it had a problem which caused me to quit relativly quickly.
no one talks in this game...ever
i felt like it was playing alone, eventhough i saw others glodal chat is never used and no one responds to anyone using global chat
it just kinda ruined the mmo feel
also it has asian grinder written all over it, so im sure by level 40-50 you hit the grind wall...you know the story.
dont lose hope.. this game is great, dont say nobody talks about it.. try to go to the forum site.. im addicted to tantra! i really like God war!
The comment about people not talking is true. You also have to deal with death by lag, updates that need emergency fixes on a regular basis and a grind wall at level 50.
The other problem previously mentioned, and it is turning up more and more on the forum, are the growing population of botters and hackers. it seems that no matter what evidence is provided, people who cant play the game straight get away with it.
To my mind there is no point grinding like an obsessive compulsive to go up a level only to be PVP 1 shotted by someone who only started a couple of hours ago.
In short it is another grinder much like all the other games on this site and it has its problems much like all the other games on this site. Perfect World is the better choice.
My advice though would be to go out and buy a game like Vampire The Masquerade, Werewolf, Call of Cthulu etc, a set of dice, invite some friends over and roleplay that way. To my mind after playing quite a few games listed here, none of the deserve the RPG in MMORPG.
Or get Half Life or Left 4 Dead. It skips out a shit load of grinding and gets you straight to the action.
As I have said before, they are nothing more than chat rooms with weapons.

The tantra extreme are different.. ehh. I play the .ph, but I hear theres tantra ww now.
O yah. If you download the game file from the www.tantra.ph site, you see a lotta options right? Actually, you don't need to download everything the extras are for manual patch if the auto-update patches are broken. Anyway to resolve the prob, download the big package (sorry can't specify right now my cp has pot it needs to be fixed) or try mmosite.com that works too if you have more questions, go to mmosite thats where mostly everyone gather. You can get more help there.
