Savage isnt even close to DOTA and Savage 2 is a failure there were almost no players in the beta they had around 40 servers online but there were only players on 1 server! and it wasnt even full with a cap of 24 players

Well it's an off hour now, and they have 200 players online. That's enough for a couple of decent servers.

It's nothing like Dota(thankfully). I enjoyed the first Savage and will probably check this out.

I tried it. It's ok...  Not really sure why they don't have this game published in stores.. It could easily be published and boxed up. It's a quality game..  just might get a bit boring after a while..  but it's free to play online after you buy it so who cares.  It's good to pass the time with now and then.

Hah!  Boxing in stores is a shell game.  Ever notice how big-name games somehow stick to certain displays, while lesser-known titles literally leave the shelves?  I mean imagine if B&N had books leave the shelves if they didn't perform well.   They have hundreds of books which might sell a copy or two a year.  Tops.  Game stores have none, because all they care about is the fees game companies pay them to have their product stuck in a prominent location.

No, my question is: "Why isn't it on Steam?"

they decided against steam in early beta im pretty sure they want to be completly independant and since they have alot of stats and clan managment hosted by them im guesing that wcould be reasons too

and it is like dota you have 2 bases and you have a team of people trying to destroy each other bases.... how is that not like dota?

there are plenty of people playing now i usualy see about 200+ people playing 24/7

whats also nice about it is that they have a nice map editor and made it very easy to mod it

the map editor has triggers much like in wc3

Their engine is brand new for savage 2 its pretty powerful and easy to mod

There are still some bugs and some features arent yet in the game liek voice chat and some clan integration but it wont be long untill they fix it
