That's really the parents fault for not teaching the girl any better AND for not checking her online activities. If she's subscribed to the game then even more so because they should know her account information (since they most likely paid for it).
I don't know why it's always the companies to blame when something bad happens to someone. It's not their fault the parents can't take care of their kids.
I always love how these discussions break down into "who's to blame" and "what rights do people have" and "how do other countries perceive cursing"...
While it's all very interesting discussion (I discuss it myself at times), it's ultimately irrelevant to the situation...
Disney is apparently strict about language in their game, prohibits it via their ToS, actively enforces it by monitoring the chat channels and penalizing those who violate it.
Dont' want to risk suspension... choose different words.
Their game. Their rules. Don't like it? Don't play.
It's really that simple.
Not trying to sound harsh or whatever.. I'm personally not offended by cursing; couldn't care less how others talk.

Myself as a single parent taught my Son all about the evils in life, however, I couldn't be everywhere all of the time. I had to work and sleep (on my keys), ya know? So, to blame it all on parents is just plain ridiculous.
I too applaud Disney for their effort to keep a clean environment for all ages to enjoy.
I will tell you why it is still bad to do inside the game.You need to think before you act,what if by mistake you did not click your private chat and it hit the main chat?This is VERY possible,i have done it a ton of times.
It is actually VERY good to see that they are doing a proper job of monitoring their game,this is something Blizzard and many others take a back seat to.
I once got was away from playing EQ2 for about a week,when i returned i had several pm's from RMT,well not about 20 minutes after i logged in,a GM started to talk to me.He told me to make sure i report any illegal messages like RMT trying to sell stuff.I was actually happy to see that they are right on top of the game,that is always a good thing.

And disney also makes games and movies for childern.
This game is really heavy on the swearing kind of thing because there are very young childern who play this game as well. It is a disney game afterall. Look at it from thier perspective. They probably didn't even know you were talking to your cousin, and honestly What do you expect. I mean do you honestly think disney wants people in their game swearing in chat to other people publicly or privatly while there are kids playing as well? Use your head next time. Seriously
Oh no he used words... "bad" words... how about we stop acting like dramaqueens and stop denying the only reason they have any higher effect then any other words is because we by ourselves psychologically look at those words differently when they simply describe something or express something just like any other word, they arent going to physically hurt children... and if you dont want your children to hear certain words, why dont you lock them up in a room with a tv and slide food in through a hole since you apparently dont want to be a parent.
stop making your offsprings into other peoples responsibility. I dont like parents who blame the problems on everything else and think that the rest of the world should cater to their kids, no its not harder to raise a kid in todays society, todays society is just lazier and whine louder when they dont get what they want.
In summary, I dont think he should have been banned and it doesnt matter if it was private or not, learn to use ignore if you dont like what someone is saying and if your kids see a bad word maybe you should try explaining it and have your kid understand the meaning of it and why its not used in public and etc, but thats up to you since its not my place to tell you how to raise your kid but stop making your kid(s) everyone elses problem. Thank you.

It's Pretty obvious to me by reading what you posted you don't have childern of your own. Let alone work 2 jobs 6 days a week. And if you ever do. Maybe you'll realize that bringing up childern in this day and age isn't as easy as typing out a few statments backed up with no proof or a common thought to what it might be like for a mother to raise 2 kids of her own with no help from the father or her family and is stuck working 2 jobs just so she can put food on the table and at the same time try to keep her kids from watching all the Violence and Sex on T.V, Media, Magazines, and the internet all in hopes to raise 2 kids well with good morals, and values.
This really Goes to show your complete and utter ignorance to somthing you have no idea about. Do some research before forming an opinion on such things about other people, or better yet actually put yourself into other peoples shoes, and get socialized. Because in the real world. The world isn't black and white.

Stop pretending like everyone is living life like a sad drama movie, does every family only have a mom and no dad? why is it a single mom who has problem and not a single dad? you're already being ignorant by basically rambling up the plots of bad tragedy movies. Why did this person get kids in the first place if she/he didnt have the means to support them? Stupidity? Is that somehow my fault and now the rest of the society has to suffer and adopt to their needs because they made bad decisions? You're not coming off as kind and loving if thats what you think and even less as intelligent, you just think people should do whatever they want to do when it comes to kids and everyone else should then change according to their whim to make it easier for them.
Yes I dont have kids because I know what a big step in life that is, how much effort and time it requires to be a good parent and I'm neither economically or mentally ready for that kind of a step in my life... and I acknowledge that instead of going out and getting kids to make myself feel better and then when reality hits I start trying to make my life easier by making life worse for the people around me who dont have kids.
You might think this is off-topic but the reason I'm arguing this point is because the reason disney has to have such strict rules in place about language in the first place is for this same reason.
Oh and as for the last bit, how hard it is to have kids in this day and age? Just stop it, things are easier then before unless you live in specific parts of the world and self pity isnt going to garner any sympathy whatsoever.
Is there a chat filter in game? If so, the ban is ludicrous
As for others opinions, as a game moderator for many games, and experience in running high traffic websites and chat
sites for 10+ years, its not the adult language being the problem
The 9 year olds in these games and their language is what is shocking. They are protecting nothing with sort of automated ban system, and if they can monitor the chat and ban, they can filter the chat and run a filter and remove it... Which would be the more appropriate path and company stance.
This sounds phony to me though, sounds like someone is trying to get your account info???

Well my guess is that they put in a patch Client Side, or Server side, so that it flags swear words sent through the server. When it is done in any chat including private chat, or anything gets flagged, a GM Reads it. I am glad that they are watching everyone since this is a game for Minors though, and if you want to swear at your brother, or someone else, then get an external application, such as skype, yahoo,msn,etc, which they do not control. Also when it comes down to it they only suspended your account for 3 days, and asked you to read the rules again, and I would say that you got off lucky with this.
Personally I wont play a game like this though, because there are much better games anyways.
