This game rocks!

Hey, perhaps my opinion doesn't matter cuz it's my first MMORPG, but as a comic book fan who likes to share his creations with people, this is pretty close to the game I would've designed in my wildest dreams.

I'm sorry a lot of hardcore, MMORPGers don't like it, but for me there's nothing quite as cool as leaping from building to building, decending on a gang of thugs and catching them up in a snowstorm.

Perhaps if I played it 10 hours a week, or didn't like superheroes I wouldn't like it, but seeing as how it's a superhero themed game built for the casual gamer, it's like, ideal for me... I hope it brings more people into the MMO industry, cuz the game, from what I understand, is pretty revolutionary.

And the CS rocks... it's like whatever options/customizability people want, it goes into the game next thing.  I heard you crash in other MMOs too, but that's never happened to me. I love it... sorry if it's not your type of game.

Here here! i tried Daoc, final fantasy 11, and lineage 2 and found them all to geared towards people who are willing to put in a ridiculous amount of hours a week. It became to much like work, if you ask me. City of heroes has been fun since i picked it up and I have no doubt that COV will make it even better with pvp and crafting coming into play. That being said, I'm still eagerly awaiting everquest 2, as i never tried the everquest series and since it's the most well known mmorpg I figure I'll give it a shot. If it's not as good as the hype says itwill be, it'll be right back to COH for me.

I'm gonna have to go with Hype on this one.  I have played two mmorpg's before this, Shadowbane and Horizons.  Needless to say this is like waking up from a bad bad nightmare.

The more I read what negative things are said about this the more I start to see a trend.  Many people have forgotten the "fun" of playing a fantasy game, or a super hero game, and have started to abstract everything to the min/max metagamer concept.   Maybe that's just me noticing, but they all talk like they have degrees in designing game systems and it annoys me.  Usually you notice them because they have time to post here while on EQ, DaoC, or AC waiting hours for a group to form up because they HAVE to ahve a certain combination of things and or certain number of people else it's useless to even TRY to do anything...

Ya know what? I like running around jumping between buildings. I like beating up virtual nazis.. I still feel like i'm having fun being a super hero comic book character.

I wouldnt play everquest if you dont like the idea of wasting your time on a game then dont. In eq1 I invested 4 years at least 5 hrs a day and ended up with 4 lv 65 chacters and crafters this is not a game that you can just jump in and play like coh .
