Play Magazine: TR = Best Online RPG 2007

Play Magazine has given Richard Garriott's Tabula Rasa® their 2007 "Best Online RPG" award in the February 2008 issue. They write, "From the early battlefields of the Divide to the Foreus Plateau, Richard Garriott's Tabula Rasa presents a compelling moral/political sci-fi yarn sprinkled with just enough clever hybrid gameplay to escape the clutches of the MMO cookie cutter. TR's instances are well written, its world designs are thoughtful, and the cloning concept provides for highly rewarding class experimentation." Congratulations to the Destination Games™ team!

    What the heck is Play Magazine? Never heard of it before now.

    Well with this article over their heads, they pretty much just killed their credibility.

    TBH, this isnt a massive achievement when you analyze the competition in 2007... PotBS? Vanguard?

    Tabula Rasa still needs alot of work.

    Its either Vanguard or TR and it really takes a genius to figure that out.

    Glad to see TR named best online game. IMO TR had one of the smoothest live launch out of any game, very few bugs besides a few missions that are easily fixed by GM (which respond very very quickly), even the super-duper popular WoW had alot of issues when launching live and for the first year.


    And LOL Vanguard, just LOL. If SOE doesn't get stupid with FLS, PotBS might be next as online game of the year though I'm not very fond of that game, but I somewhat doubt it.

    First Vanguard then Lord of the rings online, now this .. I believe that this is not voted by a majority of gamers. I dont know even understand why I write a comment on it. One thing I know .. If you got alot of money you can BUY publicity and spotlight ...

    Question, To all you Negative TR people out there.... if you dislike the game so much...

    Why the HECK are you here! Move on or get over it. A lot of people like TR ..

    Now i am all good for helpful Crits... but you guys are just bashing, and that's un-cool!

    Get a life or find a new game ... maybe get your girlfriend out of the closet... Something.
