PvP Server(Updated)

Ramones274Ramones274 Member Posts: 366

I am going to be starting up again on the PvP server and would just like to grab some information before I hop on when I get home from work.

I played on the PvP server when it first came out, i'm not sure how long ago that was..it has to be going on two years now?

I loved it.

How populated is the PvP server nowadays..Nagafen I believe it is.

Have they made any major changes to the PvP system?

How easy is it to start from scratch there?

Thanks in advance.

most of the EQ2 people at mmorpg.com do not PVP

if people dont respond to your PVP inquiry theres 2 other forums to try

    SOE PVP forum

    forums.station.sony.com/eq2/forums/show.m

    EQ2Flames PVP forum

    www.eq2flames.com/player-vs-player-issues/

  • They added the Exile faction

They limited people 1.5 AA's for your level dues to people twinking.

The got rid of level lockiing do to people twinking.

The biggest changes are in the cultures.

Good luck, in my opinion EQ2 PvP is a complete cesspit now.

Welp, level 17 Monk and I'm having a blast so far.

The community has been great for the most part!

Found a guild I think is goint to work out great..

The PvP doesn't seem to have changed too much as far as I can tell however, haven't done a whole lot of it yet.

The only thing I'm bummed about so far is that I'm not getting as many groups as I would like, but hopefully that will pick up. At least monks can solo fairly well.

Anyways, having good times. If there is anyone else around that level on the PvP server..look me up! Name is Astroi.

Wow I remember playing a trial and always hated level locked players, it was really hard for me to level.

when did they get ride of level locking? must have been very recently

you can still disable experience like before, but the twinks can't level lock forever anymore. From my understanding you get experience from player kills no matter what now, even if you disable combat experience. So eventually you'll level off of ganking.

good hopefully that will make T1 prices cheaper... paying more for T1 than T4 was a bit much imo

    Level 22 now..

I get torn up in PvP!

Everyone must have either a ton of AA's or is really twinked out!

Anyways, I'm gonna keep on truckin. Try and get some more AA's

I hate being too busy to play..

    Work/Woman

Both words start with W and both take up so much of my time!

It is damn near impossible to do anything without a group on the PvP server, which is fine..I enjoy grouping.

However, when I can't find I group, it sucks not being able to do anything. Or trying to do something and just getting ganked over and over again.

    Freeport is overpopulated!

    DOWN WITH THE FREEPS.

I've been in Thundering Steppes doing quests and killing Q's.  I found that it's a lot easier to quest in TS with the intent to kill every single one of those dirty buggers then to do quests in Nek and get beat down every 2 seconds.

Being able to stealth and track helps of course.

Remember, Twink Q's are hunting Freeps in CL and Nek; wich leaves you all defensless soloing quests in Ant or TS.  And getting into a PvP group as a Q always seemed easier then a PvE one; my Q is a 29 Zerker.

Try Butcherblock, I was there around your level and remember it was pretty safe as a freep.

    Wish Darkfall would release.
