Um from what I read I think you're playing a human (The golden town? Is that Goldshire?) You may be able to move into Westfall now but normally waiting untill level 9 or ten to do this is best. The opening zones are plenty easy and normally the quests give a lot of information on where to go. No offence but if you're having trouble leveling to level 9 this may not be the game for you.

WoW isn't a monster grind game!  Its a quest grind!  Just keep doing the plethora of quests available and they will lvl u up in no time, and no u won't run out of quests at any lvl.  Sometimes u'll have to go look around for them but there are plenty there.

I think it is goldshire you are in and there are lots of quests there which will make you level fast,If you are impatient you could also goto loch modan where there is also alot of quests for them levels(you would have to get to ironforge and then follow your maps to get there),once you have done them quests and around level 10-14 you can start to move to sentinal hill(westfall) which is just outside elwynn forest and there are alot of quests and mobs to grind there.

    1. quests- when i get them i have no idea where to go i read where it tells me to but it still takes awhile

    2. killin mobs- it just takes me forever it probably because of my weap tho also i dont have skills or spells execpt for heroic strike

Im a WoW noob also but... I think you should hvae more skills than just Heroic Strike. Have you been to your trainer and learned any of the new skills that come every 2 lvls?

WoW is the simplest game to get into and understand. If you are having trouble or are confused about where to go before level 10, you are going to be in serious trouble. If you are getting impatient at leveling before level 10, quit now because you won't be able to handle it later.

"There are two great powers, and they've been fighting since time began. Every advance in human life, every scrap of knowledge and wisdom and decency we have has been torn by one side from the teeth of the other. Every little increase in human freedom has been fought over ferociously between those who want us to know more and be wiser and stronger, and those who want us to obey and be humble and submit."

Even when I first started playing the game, I'd get to 12-15 within the first day - day and a half without enough noticing. I don't understand how it could be difficult. Some quests are harder to find/do than others, but honestly, that doesn't kick in until you're at least out of the starter area for the most part. Except for maybe Princess the pig, or the Collector ones in Elwynn.

First off, go to your class trainer in Goldshire, 'cause if you still only have Heroic Strike, you probably haven't done so yet. Which means you're missing out on lots of skills like Hamstring, Charge, even an improved version of Heroic Strike, etc.

After that, it's basically up to learning how to find your way around, and honestly, no one can help you with that. Sure you can go to Thottbot.com and get everything pointed out to you. But you wouldn't be someone who gives up and takes the easy way out, would ya?

EDIT: Also, if you find you're too slow, maybe you should try being something else. If you're a Hunter or Shaman, you get different speed abilities at level 20. Shaman turns into Ghost Wolf for 40% increased speed, Hunter gets Aspect of the Cheetah for 30% increased speed, though you get dazed if hit by a mob. Also, Druid, though it takes longer, gets a Cheetah form with 40% increased speed at level 30.  Though you'd be getting a mount at 40 anyway (60% increased speed), if you have the money.

If the game isn't easy enough for you already...try the add-on QuestHelper.

It tells you exactly where to go.

Try the link above when you cant seem to find the region where you can find quests matching your level.

Get a map mod with coordinates (lat's/long's)

    Go to thottbot.com.

Enter title of quest in 'search' text field. (enter it exactly as titled)

The quest information there is great.

    There are other sites.

There may be mod's with built in quest info.

I haven't and don't use any of those, however.

    1.  Get a mod that puts coordinates on your map.  Then go to Thottbot and find the quest.  It almost always has the exact coordinates in the comments.  You'll never waste time looking for how to complete a quest.

    2.  Can't really help you here without more information, but be patient.  You're new to the game.  We all messed up our first characters badly until we learned more about the game, but that's part of the fun.  Just keep playing and you'll get better.  If you really feel like your weapon is slowing you down I would suggest looking for an upgrade on the AH.  Don't spend a lot of cash.  You can probably find a decent upgrade for a fairly reasonable price.  Don't go looking for a killer weapon, as you'll just end up replacing it in 5 levels anyway.

Edit:  You know I really need to read thru the entire thread before commenting... LOL
