AoC on 360

SeggallionSeggallion Member UncommonPosts: 684

Quick question; I see a few post were they say this game will release 2009 to 360. Is that correct? If so, has anyone heard how the game should fit in the poor discspace on the consol? Well the 'arcade' is kinda useless with most games. But those who bought a 360 with 20gb disc will have small problem.

Anyhow, they probably knows what they're doing.

The Sceptics, yes they're special but we've need them to.. I guess.
And if they're put more effort MMORPG.com can create a 'Team Sceptic'
and send them to the Special Olympus.

world of warcraft is quite old and it only takes up around 10gig.  Vanguard (i heard) takes nearly 15gig.  most MMO's are around 5-10 gig and many don't really go over that unless they failed to hire someone who could compress stuff well (dunno if thats the programmers job or someone different?).  AoC at launch wont be over 6gig and after a year or so maybe lucky to reach 7.

    MMO wish list:

    -Changeable worlds
    -Solid non level based game
-Sharks with lasers attached to their heads

I would assume they are going to do something like FFXI does on consoles... install a minimum of data on the hard disk, stuff that needs to be loaded a lot or very fast, and then do the rest of the game disk. That is entirely speculation on my part, but it seems to me they will done something to that effect.

I'll make an assumption and say that it won't be as much space...But I really have no clue.

If that is the case, I'm pretty sure it will come down to roughly 15 Gigs at launch or something. The Beta-Builds are never optimized for space and such, it's basically just all the files thrown at you with a catapult. Vanguard Beta-Client had 25 Gigs in the end IIRC.
