Judging from that little "wish Upon a Star Productions" in the bottom right corner, I'd say it's false. I honestly don't think Blizzard would need to outsource a screenshot, if they were developing WoW 2.
I dont think there's any signs that WoW is dramatically losing subs. So why would they spend a great deal of time and money making a successor when they have approximately 20 x more subs than even their most successfull mainstream competitiors?
A CGI feature film? maybe. WoW2? Unlikely and not needed.

My guess is that it was an April Fools joke. Could have been done by Blizzard, they have done jokes like that in the past( the wisp as a playable race in Burning Crusade).
This isn't real. Blizzard already said a long ago they wouldn't make a sequel to WoW they are only going to update there current version. Reason for that is they can't remake their total Warcraft universe.

Yet they "fix" the story as they go along to make new things fit in...

Its called an evolving storyline, maybe that concept has eluded you over the years, simpletons often have troubles grasping the most basic of concepts, as you have so cleverly provided an example of.

I don't know what your problem is, but I see no need for the insults or flaming. I think your post alone speaks volumes for your own cognitive capacity.
My post was not in reference to the growth and development of the storyline, however, it was in regards to Blizzard's habits of retroactively altering or removing entire pieces of lore that largely defined the world as a whole in order to allow them to make other options work.
My point in bringing this up is that I find it ironic that Blizzard says they will not rewrite the Warcraft universe, yet they alter it frequently to meet the needs of growth.
Also, if you are going to use "its" to mean "it is", it is proper to use "it's". Simpletons often have issues grasping this concept, as you have so clearly proved. Furthermore, what the hell was so clever about my post that led you to believe that I was a simpleton? Obviously your unparalleled grasp of video games is far above your grasp of the English language.

Hmmm, his post count is higher?
I was trying to take a dig at him saying that I cleverly made made self to be a simpleton, I would assume his intention was to use the word clearly instead.

Haha, while not bashing WoW while I am not a die hard Warcraft fan, there is something to be said about the simpleton understanding lore.
I mean space ships crash landing in a fantasy game, now that RoXXers dude. Wonder when the story will evolve to the point we can get our own space ship, fight battles in space, train to be a jedi, carry machine guns, own our own car from the future, and have a basketball arena!!!!

Indeed. An evolving storyline, so after Kil'jaeden lets kill the Dark Titan himself, Sargeras. Then who? Huh? LETS RAID THE BLIZZARD COMPOUND!
Well, maybe not, since they had to recyle Kael'thas to make a boss for Magister's Terrace. But you get my point. People always want more, they always want new.
-------------------------------------- A human and an Elf get captured by Skaven. The rat-men are getting ready to shoot the first hostage with Dwarf-made guns when he yells, "Earthquake!" The naturally nervous Skaven run and hide from the imaginary threat. He escapes. The Skaven regroup and bring out the Elf. Being very smart, the Elf has figured out what to do. When the Skaven get ready to shoot, the Elf, in order to scare them, yells, "Fire!"

Everquest did the same thing with Planes of Power expansion, while IMHO it was a good expansion, it allowed players to beat the Gods. After that, the Everquests expansions went down hill and got stranger and stranger as they went. Again, (for the Recant's sake), I think WoW is a fun game, but if you like lore and like story lines, hold on to your seats because I suspect this will be a wild ride. BTW I got off before the ride begins, lived that nightmare with EQ not doing it again.
Believe it or not, but I think in the very near future games will look like this. Those really awesome WoW, Guild Wars and Lineage II cenimatics will be the graphics of these games in the future. The problem isn't that they cannot be doen, because they can. it's just that the computers would need to be expotentially more power then the ones we have today. We're talking putes with 10gig hz quad core CPU systems, and vid cards with 4gig or ram at a minimum for graphics like this in an MMORPG. It's just a matter of time and tech catching up with what can be done graphically with a good CGI program. Maya and 3D Max are amazing tools and you can create some pretty awesome graphics with them.
By the way...this is how I wish WoW looked and other MMORPG's. Someday my wish will come true...you just have to believe.

clearly fake
Obviously, since you couldn't run the graphics for that on a 7 year old toaster, it's definitely fake.

I'm still going to have fun showing that to a bunch of die hard WoW players I know and convincing them it is real.
