yeah ive played for uhh like 2 years stopping alot in between but their getting new graphics now that look a ton better and i agree no game has yet to beat it in a totaly free no download game.i love it just if i could remember some of my acounts with tons of money would be great haha
I think even if runescape has this graphics upgrade(its a pretty good one at that) the only reason why ppl play htis game is cause they havent tried any thing else.
there just wrapped up in their own little RS world i say why not leave them there and give up on them.

Runescape may be a grinding game, but as you reach a higher lever which takes about a month. The whole world opens up to you, according to your level there are many things you can do, i will list whatever i used to do in runescape that was actaully fun.
-King dags
-Wilderness (pvp - 1vs1) (f2p - 1vs1 & team pking)
-Duel Arena (Big income from that... i could then use the money i earnt on skills using expensive materials which took way less time to exp)
-metal drag hunting
-clue scrolls
-and many many more... figure out themselves yourself
Anyways, Runescape may be repetitive, but what other mmoprg lets you multitask? I mean you can play with multiple accounts, or do simple tasks like fishing or woodcutting and do whatever else you want. Afterall it requires you only to check the screen every minute. For example you spend 2 hours watching anime on veoh or youtube, but instead you watch that and play rs at the same time. Makes it more fun, and in the end of the day you feel proud like you have actaully done something, and yes i have done 16 hours sessions. As you go on in the game you get to meet many interesting people and even establish many close friends. You can make videos on youtube with some nice gameplay and then have people adore you which is very nice. Maybe make some quick cash from selling a few mils to a friend irl. Runescape is the only game i know which does not require you to kill a certain ammount of monsters for quests, and have an actauly story line and one big story line can consist of a few quests. These are only a few things not even 5% id say about 0.1% of what made runescape worth playing.

Enough with the facts... Now my opinion I am not going to play a game which i have to pay for and that does not listen to the players wants. We pay and we should decide. Bounty Hunter does suck, maybe it s fun for a little while but then it gets really boring as there is not real income from it, i have a really pimped pure and i earnt about 500k in a week from bounty hunter. P2P when We could stake more than 3k i could make millions of gp every day. Recently i decided to mine (with autominer). I got this low only because of Jagex and yes after about 2million of mining exp, i got banned, and guess what... i got banned for 10 days with only 10 black marks as about 3 years ago, i got muted for a month and 5 black marks for swearing at some noobs. Jagex did ruin the game... and whatever you have to say about them not runing the game, i will be able to prove you wrong.
I played RS for about 3 years on and off and it was pretty fun. Got some friends and stuff.. had a blast... Didn't fancy pking much till i started getting some cash... (Around lev 80 haha I was poor for awhile) and the updates came... I could have lived without the wild.. But trading.. WTF!!! How can you mess that up!!! Yes you can go earn pixel junk for yourself now, but you cannot help your friends on the game anymore because of the trade limits. Just in case you were not aware, selling items to friends for real cash is called Real world trading and is against the rules, and was their reason for ruining trade on the game. They are shooting themselves in the foot with that too.. There is no way they can compete with the younger crowds expectations on game graphics, their updates will be a miserable failure in that aspect. The younger crowd plays, wii xbox 360, and ps3... trying to compete with that in a java based game is ignorant, not to mention that kids do not pay monthly fees, they want to play for free. Runescape cannot even be played on a computer with parent controls on, since it has a 13+ age limit and open chat. It has seemed to me for years now that whoever is making their decisions does not have any common sense. They have their priorities all messed up. Targeting kids in a game that cannot be played by kids is madness... and they ignore the 16- 30 yr old age range all together.. I don't get it... but hey it's their game, their loss.

Look at Everything they have been doing recently. The "Parents guides" the removal of risks, making it a "safe" game. The addition of pets that follow you around like pokemon.. Then of course there is fun orb. All of those things appeal to children. Adults like risks, they like freedom, they care more about actual gameplay than graphics. Everyone compares the game to "hello kitty " now it is disgraceful how much they have gone downhill with this game. Where are the mods out banning people for playing underage? Noo they are too busy banning people helping friends on the game. From the mods I have spoken to about this subject.... they do not ban people for being underage even though they lied on a contract, but yet they do ban people trying to give away free stuff for new members. How twisted is that?

Yes there was a time that we could trade freely, but then , last year the months prior to the fall updates they started banning people for exactly just that. I was a a friends quitting runescape party, They gave away 20 santas that day, in the days that followed all 20 players that received santas that day were banned for accepting that trade. Seems that the guy who was quitting was falsly accused of rw trading and anyone he traded with was banned without appeal. They accepted no appeals for this. When I went on to fourms to see what was going on, There were hundreds of players posting the same thing. There were Grandmothers banned for giving their grandsons items, entire clans banned for giving out free rune for clan wars, there were moms banned for giving stuff to their kids, and during this time period I knew of many people that were unreasonable banned for the same thing. I knew an english teacher that was banned for giving free stuff to her students, and a friend that was just holding on to a friends phat because the guy found a keylogger on his computer. That friend was banned for simply "holding his friends stuff" until he got his computer fixed. These were all good players that did not break any rules. Yes we used to be able to trade freely, but then Jagex went on a witch hunt and would ban without evidence anyone who has " unbalanced trades" They did this for a few months until they nuked unbalanced trades entirely. now there is only a 3k limit difference in items allowed to be traded, unless both players have high quest points then there is a 30k limit. still 30k to high level players is not a gift, we give phats to each other and santas, so basically the JAgex grinch ruined christmas! LOL.
Though I was never banned for this myself, I knew these people that were banned for years, they were not RW traders. They were honest good people that did not deserve the bad treatment they received by JAgex.

NO. bounty hunter is pathetic. wilderness was the most interesting place before it was ruined. graphics ARE awful, how can you say they are good when you do not have a face.

It was fun ^^ I think I was lvl 72 or something, I had lots of money and the best gear a free player could have.
But I moved on to other games, I have some nice memories... good old days ^^

What a biased, one sided, off-the-top-of-your-head argument.
The use of one word excessively, i.e. mature, within or around 1-3 sentences, is normally classed as bad writing, and, depending on the way you look at it, could be said that the grammatical error is an immaturity in writing, not being mature enough to pick up on your own mistakes and look at both sides of the argument. I agree with Mike in the post before that one. Also, can this thread not turn into a battleground? Please?

Im some ways, i agree, people with a quick reaction to say "Its Ruined" are rather stupid, as they havnt really given the *New* game a chance, and should try to look at it differently.

NO. bounty hunter is pathetic. wilderness was the most interesting place before it was ruined. graphics ARE awful, how can you say they are good when you do not have a face.
