well will i get a email confirming i signed up? and can anyone give me the links on where to sign up since i think i did it wrong and do i have to download comrade and sign up for some kind of ambassador to get a chance?

You need to have a paid subscription to Fileplanet to have a chance at getting a key. If you have a sub, go to the Fileplanet AoC mini site (huge banner on the main page), and sign up for email notification. When a batch of keys are released, they are first come, first served, so you gotta get to the site quick and click on the link to grab a key.
And, no, don't bother with that Ambassador nonsense.
so who ever gets to the site clicks some link and gets a key as a first come first serve thing?

No, you have to be a subscriber. So basicaly you have to pay for it which is lame . But i did it and i got my key :P
It's not lame if you consider the fact that a 12gb file being downloaded by thousands of people uses a whole heap of bandwith, which ain't cheap. :P

question: how long does it take to use up all the keys? is it you have to log in within 25 seconds or the keys are gone?
what are the odds of actually getting one now that I shelled out the cash for a subscription? especially without any apparent announcment of what time its going out.
I wouldn't wait for an email to be sent out. The first batch of keys are already gone and I still haven't received an email. I've been a member of FP for years.
so we just have to check the site every 15 min for the next week and cross our fingers? that might be fun but I enjoy sleep, and I have a job and school to manage.
How does it even tell the diff between subscribers and non subscribers? no indication that it recognizes me as being logged in, so confused.
I really wish I had known that it was very limited on who gets keys before I subscribed.
The website is blocked from my work, so I can't check it during the day. Checked it as soon as I got home and all keys were gone.
I was just lucky that I happened to check filep[lanet just as they were put up ;P

To those of us who havnt got the keys...dont worry, they're handing out 50,000 of them in waves..so the odds are pretty good that you might get one. Just sign up for the email notification so you dont have to deal with that comrad program
/Edit: the actual beta doesnt start until may 1st, they're letting people download and install the game early so we're ready by the first
i got comrade, but cant figure it out. It doesnt offer age of conan as an option. hate technology so much!
Its really not that hard, just read the instructions. "Click add ambasador, add the fileplanet ambassador, then your done

Yea if you use comrade with a Team File Planet abassador you get a should msg the moment the keys are available.
i did it, went to site, and added TeamFilePlanet and ComradeDevTeam on website. the actual gamespy comrade lists no ambassadors though. I think this might have something to do with not being able to send them messages, the faq isnt clear why it doesnt display.

but the Ambassador "alerted me" that beta was available -- so I got a key thanks to it
