preorder idea

in Age of Conan: Unchained

i picked up the 10 dollar preorder at best buy and wondered, can i use any full version of game or do I need an in store copy?

it looks like i just need this to register that I bought the preorder and it doesnt matter where I get the actual game from. I would like to get the CE and I might not get one in store. So, can anyone verify this?  do I need to get the actual game from bestbuy?

 

edit: i dont care about the 10 dollars if i got it elsewhere

    They usually explain this in store, but all the 10$ does that you slapped down is insure that you get a copy of the retail game when it comes out. It's sort of a layaway.

    You need to buy the full retial product in order to play the game when it comes out. 

    Yes, if you preorder from bestbuy you need to get the game from best buy or you wasted 10$.

    Well, the box contains a pre-release key for the war rhino and belt.  

    I know that in addition to this you can put it towards the game for 10 off.  I wanted to know if anyone knows if the preorder key is all i need to do through best buy.  No one at store had a clue.  Their website is selling the CE but it isnt preorder.   so I am kind of lost.

    theorettically, the preorder key and retail key are separate, so if you register an account with that preorder key... it will have nothing to do with your retail version... so yes you can get a CE instead, and hopefully Bestbuy will credit your ten dollars towards it.
