I buy this game past year, and this game still have critical bugs, crashes, and now HUGE LAG.
Many patches have this game, and i dont play perfectly.
Dont spend your money here!!! many bad comments have this game, this game still beta version.
Comments
You are correct in that the game still has the odd crash. You are wrong in saying it is crap.. but each to their own. I enjoy it and have been playing since beta.

All games have bugs. Hellgate had more than normal (a lot more than normal) on release, but the large number of patches have ironed most of them out.
Most of the early complaints about the game, are now moot (Mail system implemented, Auction house scheduled for an upcoming patch, Stonehenge solved the repetitive tilesets).
The "huge lag" would be caused by your connection and computer. Are your ports forwarded and your firewall configured correctly? If everyone was experiencing this lag then there would be more whining than usual on the forums, which there isn't.
My connection?? its a t2 men, and ping its 200~over 1000, and all players have same problem, and its true all games have bugs but its game dont fix SEVERAS BUGS AND CRASHES, you are a newbie player, im play this game one year, and look hellgate forums, many players hate this game, if you want drop your money to trash, its you opinion.
I enjoy this game, yes I have had and still have some issues with bugs. Unfortunately so does every other pc game and It's not a big deal to me. I like turtles.
lol....that connection is HORRIBLE.....
its dont low connection
how do you have a T2 and a low connection? my cable pings sydney. australia from NYC at around 240ms.
I've played about 15 hours and have had one crash.
Well I can tell you that not all players have your problem. I haven't crashed OR lagged in a very long time.
As a subscriber (soon to be a former subscriber), my problem with the game now is I've seen everything there is to see in the game. One can only do Moloch and Wilds runs so many times before boredom sets in. Maybe the Abyss will breathe some new life into it, but that's what they thought about Stonehenge. After a few weeks of its release, Stonehenge was already getting boring.
So I guess if you have a T2, you might want to steer clear of this game since it appears it doesn't work right over a T2.
I had maybe one crash and pretty decent connection with my crappy BellSouth DSL. If my PC was better I would play Hellgate a lot more. My PC is just too crummy to play on-line but runs quite well off-line.
Yea when you first buy the game the loading is crap and there are so crashes, but isnt that with any mmo. its a huge world and you expect it to load up instantly?
I think I've crashed in this game once in total this year.
Only time I lagged was when there were just waaayy too many zombies on the screen; a few mouse clicks cleared that problem though
Can't say I've had any issues with the game. It's perfect for me and the time I have to play it, it's not a game I live on like I did WoW, or EQ, it's something I can jump on once in a while and have a good time, so I don't get the burn out. On top of that the fact that it's free to play online makes it that much better.
I never lag on the game, or get disconnected, i used to have ram overload errors, but they fixed that issue. It sounds like you have a crap computer, and a bad connection. T2 my ass, if your getting pings like that, its not t2, you probably have dial-up. The game itself is also really fun, but like the subscriber guy said, it does get boring once you have done everything. Great game for a while.
i can play for 2 or 4 hours and never crash or get lag i don't know why it's so bad for you but i like this game it's a fun hack and slash shooter up game
Is it still easy to steamroll the mobs?
So either you've never played the game, or you've never played an actual mmo. Either way, your post was so funny I just had to respond.
a T2 is NOT very good. T's are for networking and uploading to a main hub. When it comes down to download and upload speeds on a single computer playing a game DL speeds of CABLE woop ass.
and it is a MORPG. Since everything is instant.
el oh el.
that was a joke post, right?
could we please get correspondent writers and moderators, on the eve forum at mmorpg.com, who are well-versed on eve-online and aren't just passersby pushing buttons? pretty please?
No. Just because T1 and T2 are more expensive people think they are better. That is simply not the case.
Cable is better for general use and gaming plus its a HELL of a lot cheaper. Cable has a higher capability for Download speed(maxing 6Mbits). But the upload speed is generally set at 512Mbits as the standard. Averaging $35-$40
T1 and T2 are VASTLY more expensive. The download speeds are slower then what Cable can get T1 being 1.5Mbits. BUT their download speed and upload speed are equal. Putting the amount of information transfered out a better set up for multiple computers over a network sharing one connection. Averaging $300-500
Try getting 6+ computers lanned to one connection an KEEP the high speed of cable. It just isn't going to happen unless your routed through a general hub to divert information and streamline the process so you don't bog down your line.
T3 is not even considerable. Yea its equal DL and UL speeds comparable to cable but it cost ~$1000-$3000. This option is best saved for corporate buildings or multi junction office buildings where multiple companies pitch in for a large internet access point.
Well I agree with the opener. I played the game for a week and it looked quite promising. I never really encountered any 'fatal' bugs, but the game itself appeared quite boring to me after those 7 days.
Maybe I was spoiled too much by WoW, because there were definitly some moments where the slightes hunch of a diablo II feeling came up, but that was it :-)
The only reason I stopped playing was because eventually the game came to a point where I couldn't even start it without it crashing... I thought it was a good game, it was just literally impossible to play it.
It ran pretty crappy until I slapped more ram in my computer. That change alone made the game run about 10 times better.
I think the minimum ram now is 2 gigs on most current games.
